In the prequel to the stunning Deadglass trilogy, a fascinating paranormal series, one woman’s desire for a forbidden man will spark a centuries-long supernatural conflict—and a love nothing can destroy.
She’s the heiress to Seattle’s most powerful shifter clan. Her destiny is as controlled and certain as moonrise. However, from the moment Alice Corbette encounters the man known as Brand, she will defy all constraints, breaking every rule in the book to make this dragon-shifter hers.
Brand is determined to repay the clan leader he owes his life to, but one taste of Alice’s exquisite spirit will make him question his loyalty—and plunge them both into the middle of a ruthless power play. Their only chance at freedom is a gamble that could risk the future of humans and shifters alike.
Kira Brady graduated with honors from the University of Pennsylvania. She now writes apocalyptic paranormal romances set in a grisly modern-day Seattle.

Too Short

My only negative criticism was with the narrator's rendition of each of the female heroines which wasn't much different for the three heroines---breathy, soft voice catching, making all three sound as if they are unsure, weak and ready to cry when they were supposed to be strong women taking on alpha warriors. Ms Sands' acting abilities are commendable, I just had a hard time identifying with the too soft spoken, weak-sounding female parts. It would be difficult at best to perform all parts which is why I prefer dual or duet narration in these types of stories so it may be my own prejudice that caused me to lose my train of thought. Also, I found myself either falling asleep or straying from listening and missing important parts because I'd get bogged down in the details.
At any rate, worth the credit for the story alone.
Very detailed
