Publisher's summary

Sometimes, you've got to take a job with the devil to pay the bills....Too bad I learned too late the devil wears Armani, is the most uptight man in the history of history, and just signed an unbreakable contract that shackles me to his pompous royal side for the summer.

But God, he's got this British accent that makes my panties melt.

But then the words he says catch up with my brain and make me want to throw one of his precious vases at his head.

One minute we're fighting - and the next - we can't keep our hands off each other. Somehow, when Mr. Blue Eyes is kissing me, he makes me forget how much he annoys me.

And that starts a whole new level of complications I. Don't. Need.

I chose this book because of Shane East 😊

I have to admit that I chose this audiobook because of Shane East. I love to hear his British accent, so I thought this would be a fun book. It’s the first time I’ve ever listen to something from this author. I really liked the fairytale romance of the story. It took me a while to get into it, but once I did, I enjoyed it very much. It was easy to like the protagonists, Gavin and Natalie. Even though they bickered with one another, it wasn’t mean. I love the fact that it did not have a lot of profanity and it wasn’t sexually graphic. Like all stories, there comes a roadblock where someone tries to stop a couple from being together, but it didn’t drag out.

Only negative I have is the female narrator could not do a British accent. That kind of drove me crazy, but everything else she did was perfect.

Story: Good. Narration: Meghan Kelly not great.

Getting through this book is a struggle. I'm writing this review at the halfway point of the story.

Shane East is great as always. The story engaging, but I absolutely HATE Meghan Kelly's choices as a narrator. Both of her accents, US broadly Southern and English, are terrible. Her delivery is overly breathy, and her male voices are stilted.

I am really trying to get through this book because I like the story and Shane East, but I may end just reading the book instead.

A good, if not outstanding story. Nothing particularly noteworthy but entertaining nonetheless. Enjoyed the narration.

somewhat weak female lead

Though I liked this story overall. I would have enjoyed it more if the female lead would have stood up for herself a little more especislly to the male lead's mother. I felt like she just allowed his mother to bully her. That being said, there was definitely chemistry between the two lead characters which added to the romance.
