About this listen

FBI Agent Dillon Savich is on a challenging case involving the kidnapping of two teenage boys when trouble boils up in his personal life. His younger sister Lily has crashed her Explorer into a redwood in California's Hemlock Bay. Is it another suicide attempt, the second since the loss of her young daughter some seven months before? Savich and Sherlock discover that four of Lily's paintings, left to her by their very famous grandmother, artist Sarah Elliot, now worth millions, are at the heart of an intricate conspiracy. Lily and art broker Simon Russo are thrust into ever-widening circles of danger that radiate from a notorious collector's locked room.

Dillon and his sister Lily both have to face their worst fears to survive.

I liked the story. I like these characters very much. the male narrator was stilted and sounded, we'll, like was reading a book. The female narrator was great.

Book was good, narration not so much

it had more twists and turns than a cork screw. I'd like to see Lily and Simon developed more.

Exciting and never a dull moment!

This book had a few twists that made it both interesting and a bit crazy. Overall, the main characters, Lilly, Dylan, Savage and Simon made the story

The multiple Twists

The two story threads in this book flipped back and forth a lot, which I find annoying. But the writing and the story are very good. There are some paranormal parts to the story that are bit far out. Still, there are great characters, great suspense and action. The narration is very good. It was nice to learn more about Lily and Simon also. It is an entertaining book.

Very good narration

sometimes the heroin is a little bit unbelievable like she has superpowers and there's a whole occult side that's I don't know what's going on but overall I like the book and there was some White knuckle moments in it

Tense plot with some very scary moments.

Good story, but the male reading was hard to listen to. Other than that I enjoyed the book!

I had a hard time getting past the males reading.

I may or may not have read this some years ago. I thought I had read all these early FBI Thriller books, but this didn't sound at all familiar to me. It was very exciting. FBI was kept hopping the entire time. There was more than one case going on. One included Savich's sister Lily. Savich has a most interesting family, well, those we have had the pleasure of meeting. Lily was fascinating anyway. I really liked the way this was narrated. Paul Costanzo and Renee Raudman did a good job. What I especially liked was Renee doing the women's parts and Paul reading the guys parts. It had a nicer flow to it. I didn't have to deal with Paul trying to do a female voice or Renee doing a guy's voice. It gave it more or a radio drama feel. Very gripping. I thought this would be a two day listen, but well, I just could not tear myself away from the story. Did it all in one go. Yep! It is currently the middle of the night. Good story. Good narration. Good job all.

Good all aroung

Having a male and female narrator made this performance really stand out. Love these characters. Great story - hope future books explain the supernatural elements introduced in this one.
