Trying to decide if I can finish

It is so important that I find something I can relate to in a book. The characters, the story or the narrators. Even though this storyline goes into a very serious and brutal attack it is overshadowed by the flat voice of the male narrator and the weak spine of the main character. I have listened to Mr. Costanza in other books and he was great. Which makes me think that even he had trouble reading this book.

I have loved Catherine Coulter books forever but this book has so far been a real let down. The story line is so far fetched and the fact that the main character is allowed by authorities to be brutally attacked over and over is just depressing and why did you have to throw in the bonus of a little girl being raped?!?!

I hate giving up on a book but this one has pushed me to far. If I can stop at least one person from making the same mistake I did the right thing! Save yourself and pick another book!!!

I love Catherine Counters books

Beyond Eden wasn't one of her best, it was slower than her other's. Most of her books hooked you right from the beginning , this one took until the last 2 chapters, I loved the twist at the end.

Poor male narration

Did not like male narrator— no change in character voices. Female voices much more varied.

Excellent book

If you could sum up Beyond Eden in three words, what would they be?

It's so sad that this book is really close to the truth, men shouldn't be able to get away with raping a woman, and the rape victim should never be blamed. It's a frustrating world we live in when you see the guilty get away with a crime and someone innocent will go to jail because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time.

What three words best describe Renee Raudman and Paul Costanzo ’s voice?

I like their voices but Paul is very hard to hear at times, its very difficult to listen to this book because I have to turn the volume down a little for Renee's parts and then turn the volume all the way up for Paul and he's still hard to hear.

Great read

This was very well written. Just when I thought it was gonna get slow it pulled me right back in. What a surprise the ending was.

The whistle

The person who reads Taylor’s part has a whistle when he says his S’s. It’s painful and annoying when listening with headphones. I almost quit the book when I got to chapter 8 because of it.
Otherwise, good story.
