About this listen

How many times can Heroes cheat death?

Abandoned by her allies, the Republic of Venice holds out as the last beacon of resistance against the hobgoblin armies. Armed with new weapons the Southern Horde drives upon the floating city by land and sea. The Northern Horde drives deep into the heart of Europa and all fall before it.

The Horde is vast beyond measure. Assassin daggers lurk in every shadow. Necrotic evil seeps and infects.

For two doomed warriors standing upon the precipice of Armageddon honor is their only refuge. The love of their people and their friends their only armor. For Coel and Snorri the only path is to walk the Heroes Road.

One last time.

Performed by Bradley Foster Smith, Chris Genebach, Jenna Sharpe, Michael Glenn, Andy Clemence, John Kielty, Ken Jackson, James Konicek, Ryan Carlo Dalusung, David Jourdan, Nick DePinto, Andrew James Spooner, Colleen Delany, Karen Novack, Amanda Forstrom, Christopher Williams, Jeff Allin, Zeke Alton, Jon Vertullo, Lise Bruneau, James Lewis, Peter Stray, Ron Miles, Rayner Gabriel, Kay Elúvian, Danny Gavigan, Martin Dickinson, Holly Adams, Yasmin Tuazon, Alejandro Ruiz, Elias Khalil, Troy Allen, Stewart Crank, and Ian Russell.

I loved this series from beginning to end & couldn’t recommend it more to anyone that is into the adventure & fantasy genres. It he cast sounded incredible. I now search specifically for Graphic Audio titles.

I was very word-y talking about the last two books, so I will just say. There was not a single time throughout all of this I wasn't wanting to bust out laughing, stop what I was doing and just rest and really absorb the moment, or both. I can't be happier that I got into this series, and this author. I hope Chuck reads these reviews cuz I hope he knows, this was one of the most if not the most spectacular trilogies I have ever experienced. sorry this still ended up being wordy, but I have found there's just too much good things to say.

What a truly fantastic finale, and what a truly fantastic horse, the best horse in fantasy full stop.

Simply put….
This story really hits you in the feels. The actors put so much love and passion into the telling, it’s impossible not to get pulled into Coel’s world. The writing is fun and witty and it’s at the heart strings too. This my first Graphic Audio book series and won’t be my last! Go ahead, give it shot!

The actors really pull you in

Good overall story, but it leaves to many things left undone. Prime example "The Old Man of The Mountain".

To many loose ends

excellent series start to finish, has everything in it from dark fantasy to humor to love, life and death, philosophical as well, hopefully they continue with a 'next generation' series as well...

Superb Graphic Audio, how it should be done

I hardly ever write reviews, but this series is so great that it needs one. The performance was perfect, and the story put me on such an emotional Rollercoaster... it's WELL worth the credits.

Best series EVER

While there are elements of this story that I loved, or I wouldn't have sat through two other volumes, The author's tendency torture his main character really began to annoy me after a while. Also I don't care if this is popular or not, I could not find anything in the character of Joy to actually enjoy. I wish she had never been written into existence or had died in the last volume. There were better characters with more personality and depth for Cole to end up with. the ending also left me needing a drink.....of Gnome Wine. this was a good story overall, but some of the author's choices for me at least barred the gates of greatness. I will never listen again. some may like this stuff more than I did, and to them I'll recommend it, but it wound up being simply not my cup of tea at some key points. worthy of finishing out, but overall I was disappointed in this last offering.

A good book, but far from great. Very Far.
