About this listen

Deep below a desolate Utah mountain lies the largest platinum deposit ever discovered. A billion-dollar find, it waits for any company that can drill a world-record three-mile-deep mine shaft.

EarthCore is the company with the technology, the resources, and the guts to go after the mother lode. Young executive Connell Kirkland is the company’s driving force, pushing himself and those around him to uncover the massive treasure.

But far beneath the surface, where the rocks are so hot they burn bare skin, something has been waiting for centuries. Waiting...and guarding. Kirkland is about to find out firsthand why this treasure has never been unearthed.

Suspense

This was so hard not to read all at once! I’ll be starting the next one!

Gripping science fiction and suspense

If you want to listen to one of the best books by one of the best authors this is for you. I won’t spoil the surprise, but beware of what lurks below the ground.

New twist on aliens

Storyline was pretty interesting but as I got deeper into the book, it just became tedious to listen to. The story line towards the end could of been so much better, I disliked the ending and the interface with the aliens. The female voice over for 3 of the. Main characters all sounded the same and it got difficult to understand which person was actually talking.

Great Story

I love the story, but the Australian accent is *so* *bad* . . .
It sounds like an American who has never actually heard an Australian speak and studied by listening to a New Zealander for 30 minutes not realizing they weren't listening to an Australian . . .
Makes me cringe when I hear that character speak . . .

Everything else was very professionally done (:
I love Scott Sigler's stories and Graphic Audio's adaptations :D

Good story, but…

I enjoy Scott Sigler’s writing but am
NOT impressed with the “dramatized adaptation”of the audio book. The voice talent were all just fine, but various sound effects and background music was extremely distracting. Very cheesy!

not great

The original narration with the Ray Porter is amazing. But this one is lackluster. Right away the narrator's voice is drab and disappointing. They put a lot of production in this, but I feel like they didn't think it out.

Yuck!

The story may have been well written and it may have been good. I have say I am definitely not a fan of the dramatized adaptation! I had listened to another and it was okay but this one is just bad. I tried to stick it out until the end but couldn't make it through the last 5 hours. not a fair review of the book or narrators but I just can't give it anymore stars...
