About this listen

Besieged by an army of bloodthirsty orcs and goblins, unlikely heroes Jack, Gooch, Topher, Geoe, and Dobby must find a way to save the city of Edinburgh and its inhabitants.

Riding high on the success of wresting a power source away from Ravanan control, the team finally arrives in Edinburgh. Instead of the expected heroes’ welcome, they are captured and thrown in prison.

To save the city, they must first win over its rulers and inhabitants, remove a decade long curse, and find a traitor. Always the underdog, Jack must rise to the occasion or risk letting the Ravanan Empire gain another foothold on the continent of Rigara.

Rat Damon makes his triumphant return!

I love this series. the lovable group of DND nerds are back.
What do you do when you need to stop an army of goblins and orcs from destroying a city?
Make a lot of references and jokes... it's a coping mechanism.

This is a great continuation of a fun, character-driven story with great pacing. It is so much fun watching the group step up to ever-higher challenges.

Excellent build to battle and execution

Didn't care for the start of this, lots of low brow humor. Eventually it picks up with the details of the huge army arrayed against a city, an army that must be stopped despite overwhelming odds.

The lead-up has some decent fights and character building for the whole team of characters. Some good ideas in the characters builds.

The big ending is where the book shines. One of the better huge endings in the genre. Soundbooth Theater does a great job.
