About this listen

Thousands have lost sleep reading Highway, an Amazon #1 international best-seller, Readers Favorite gold medal winner and now performed by David A. Conatser.

A flash of light crippled society in an instant...

For young Lexi Broadmoor and her younger brother Travis, the detonation not only took their father away, but their future as well. Now stranded on a highway far from home without any survival skills or someone to protect them, staying alive will depend on their wits, a single bug-out bag, and a map to a stranger’s house.

With the grid down and a nation quickly descending into chaos, they’ll need to hurry, because the lawless are taking over. Fast.

But a larger threat looms.

A mysterious foe has set in motion a countdown to America's complete takeover; unknown to Lexi and Travis, they’re part of the plan.

Get ready for a Highway thrill-ride and prepare to loose sleep like thousands of others.

Movie Rating: PG-13 for language and violence.

Narrators immitation of the young boy was too much. I love post apocalyptic stories, but not when it comes to a smart sister trying to survive dragging around the most annoying little brother. Absolutely unable to listen to the inflection in the narrators voice. Terrible. Nails on a chalk board.

Great story, annoying kid brother. Too annoying to continue.

The best part of the book are characters teenage sister Lexi, 10 year old Travis and retired special ops godfather Frank. Terrorist, Uncle Abe targets US power grid and disables while at the same time firing nukes to vaporize New York City, Washington, DC, and some other cities. That being Phase 1, Phase 2 and Phase 3 bring an army of insurgents of 20,000 soldiers to attack on American soils.
The survival story of Lexi and Travis keeps the reader hooked. The fact that both kids are saved by Godfather, Frank keep the story hopeful. Frightening is the thought of terrorist Islamists on our American soil. The high skill and success of a few retired special ops American military invest the reader in finishing the story. This is an exciting good read that doesn’t kill all the good guys but rather saves them to live another day. I liked this book most because of Lexi and Travis/
