Much-Afraid begins her journey, crippled and disfigured, with the cry, "Oh, if only I could escape from this Valley of Humiliation altogether and go to the High Places." She leaves her Fearing relatives behind, and presses on to the Realm of Love. As the Chief Shepard explains, no Fears can live in this realm, because "perfect love casts out fears and everything that torments".

Written on a similar scale to the great classic Pilgrim's Progress, you'll travel along with Much-Afraid and her companions, Sorrow and Suffering, as they make the ascent to the High Places where the King of Love reigns supreme. Excellent Christian allagory. I have mixed feelings about the narration. I would recommend the book. Read the hardcopy if you can find time.

This is one to keep in your library and listen to at least once a year. Such a beautiful allegory! And the female reader has a unique ability to read the male dialogue without sounding affected. I loved it, and more importantly, it deepend my understanding of my relationship with Jesus.

I love this book. I have read it at least 10 times and now that I can listen to it I’ll loose count.
The narrators voice took a little to get used to but the content overcame it!

I've read the story before and recommended it to numerous people. However, being able to listen to the audio just brought the story to life! I am reading it with my sisters and decided to listen to it instead...I am so glad I did!
