About this listen

Ricardo Torralba and August Morrison don’t agree on much besides the fact that they hate each other. According to Ricardo, August is a spoiled brat who really needs to knock off the sass, once in a while. August insists that Ricardo needs a sense of humor, a good lay, or a well-placed bullet. Maybe all three.

Fortunately, the assassin’s profession is a solitary one, and they can go about their lives without getting in each other’s way.

Usually.

When a contracted hit turns out to be a setup for both of them, they narrowly escape with their lives. Now, even if they don’t like it (spoiler: They don’t), August and Ricardo have to work together if they want a shot at survival.

In between firefights and questionable interrogation methods as they hunt down their would-be killer, the cranky assassins discover that under all that mutual loathing is a spark of chemistry they can’t ignore. They want to ignore it, they probably should ignore it, but August can’t help flirting to annoy Ricardo, and Ricardo can think of at least one way to shut him up for a while.

But they need to focus, damn it, and figure out who’s gunning for them and why. Assuming they don’t kill each other first.

Hitman vs Hitman is a stand-alone, gay romantic suspense featuring two men who’d rather chew glass than fall for each other, a whole lot of inappropriate comments, and some buttons that will need resewing.

Amazing novel!

I tried to read this multiple times in paperback but my comprehension wasn't great. But the audiobook saved me and made me fall in love with richardo and August! Loved richardo's accent the best! Great story with a break neck speed plot line and by far one of the best sex scenes I've heard.

What a crazy fun ride!

I really enjoyed listening to this one! Ricky and Auggie are two hitman gone set up. The story and the plot was really unique and written well. I really enjoyed the MCs rapport, their snark and banter and Augustos had me laughing out loud several times!
Michael Ferraiuolo’s performance was stellar! I love the touch of music too.
I hope there’s more stories from these two. Their dynamics work so well and very cute and funny together as much as they’re deadly dangerous too.
Oh, and more sexy times, please! 🤩

📖 Story comment: good pace, great characters, entertaining story.
I had this playing while I was doing some boring stuff at work, I was so delightfully entertained with two hitmen reluctantly teaming up to find out who was after them, that I'd finished what I was doing without even noticing!
Ricardo and August have delightful banter, entertaining personalities and a cracking adventure.

🎧 Narrator comment: Michael Ferraiuolo is fast becoming a master story teller. His performance on Hitman vs Hitman was thoroughly entertaining. He suits the characters, has good timing, inflections and intonations, there is no doubting the connection between the two MC's and he brings life to every scene. 👍 👍

Amazing!

Wonderful story that’s so hysterical you’ll snort laugh your coffee. Narration is phenomenal as always with Michael Ferraiuolo’s narrations. You will not regret listening to this one.

Cute, but other authors do this story better

Once again, Michael Ferraiuolo saves pedestrian writing with his wonderful voices. His voice for Ricardo is delightful, hilarious and spot on for this character. Ferraiuolo clearly has fun with all the voices this story calls for. It's too bad the plot is so predictable and the writing isn't anywhere near as clever as Ferraiuolo's reading. Other authors write similar stories better (am I allowed to mention Alice Winters wonderful "The Hitman's Guide" series?)

Narrated to perfection

I loved Ricardo and August. Their banter and developing relationship was fantastic and Michael Ferraiuolo’s narration was perfection. I have listened twice to this audio and I’m sure there will be more as I continue this series that was never meant to be a series. Can’t wait to see what other shenanigans they get up too.

Crazy fun

A fun, crazy story of two hitmen hired for the same job only to find out that they were meant to take out each other This was a fast paced book full of snark, action, attraction, and humor as Ricardo and August try to figure out who wants them gone. Michael Ferraiuolo is a master of accents and he did a fabulous job bringing this story to life.
