About this listen

Damian Stockwell was raised from birth to be a force for good. Trained to combat the evils of the world and blessed with the physique of a demigod, he travels the globe on a quest to confront evil and punch it in the face. At his disposal is a vast fortune, an endless array of gadgets, and an army of loyal allies.

The year is 1937. A mysterious curse has possessed Stockwell's friend, and nothing will stop him from dishing out justice one fist at a time. From the bowels of the darkest jungle to the armpit of the Statue of Liberty, there is no place that evil can hide from Damian Stockwell.

Funny

This book made me laugh out loud. I liked all the action and adventure done in a tongue in cheek kind of style.

Entertaining Story and Spectacular Narration!

This was my first Benjamin Wallace's book and it's the first book in The Bulletproof Adventures of Damian Stockwell. This story is well written, action packed, intriguing and so hilarious! All the battle scenes are complex, breathtaking and entertaining. The scenery is well described, it's like we were there. Damian Stockwell and his loyal valet Bertrand (Frenchman) are totally insane together. Damian is so full of himself, it's laughable. Bertrand is a perfect secondary character and he's my favorite character! He follows Damian in his adventures with so much stoicism, courage and devotion, but maybe a little less somewhere by the end! The scene when they laughed at Bertrand's accent gives me contrary emotions because of the nastiness. However, for the most part of this story, I laughed a lot and really enjoyed my listening. Eric Bryan Moore did a stunning performance with all characters and accents. He's one of my favorite narrators. His spectacular narration really brings this story to life. Bravo! I can't wait to listen to the next book in the Series, Terror of Tesla, hopefully narrated by Eric Bryan Moore. I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review. I have read and listened this story.

Fun and Exciting Adventure!

Horror in Honduras is an action packed, hilarious cross between the Pink Panther and the Naked Gun. Damian Stockwell is a quandary, he is intelligent, but naive, he is an expert in combat but ends up bumbling his way thru each interaction. When something goes awry, he is never bothered and just continues on his quest. He is honest and noble and will do whatever it takes to thwart evil. This story was such a wonderful surprise to me and I had so much fun listening to it. The action was exciting and the word play was hilarious. Narrator, Eric Bryan Moore was brilliant. His many accents are so impressive, and his comedic timing is spot on. He drew me into the action and I was totally lost in his storytelling. I can't wait to listen to more of The Bulletproof Adventures of Damian Stockwell!

Not a Favorite, but I Still Enjoyed It To A Degree

These books might not necessarily been up my alley. I feel like the time period might be interesting enough, but one of the big things that bugged me, was the fact that Damian treated Bertrand like a servant, even though he might of held that title, it still felt a little jarring. I also wasn't a huge fan of the narrator either, but that is just my own personal preference.

oh Damian you make me LOL

When my friend recommended it, I was not sure what to expect with that title, but seeing that Mr. Moore narrated it, I had to have it. I think he outdid himself with this story, the passion, the humour laced voices, the various accents... loved Bertrand's !!!
Mr. Wallace created a great story, where we follow Damian and his valet, Bertrand in their quest to save his friend. Their interaction is hilarious at times, got some interesting looks at the store, but could not help but LOL at their antics. Damian is over the top and clueless at times, poor Bertrand has to put up with it, having to rescue his employer, it is comical and having me shaking my head at times. There is action and suspense mixed in too making it a great listen. Looking forward to the next one.

Entertaining and Action Packed!

This was an entertaining and action packed story with one of the best narrations I’ve ever heard! Eric Bryan Moore did an amazing job with the narration of this book. The accents he does are outstanding and the inflections and emotions he puts into it made the book so entertaining. The story was great in itself. It was action packed and the humor throughout made it that much better. When I chose this book I was certainly curious as to how it was going to go and how I would like it. I needn’t have worried, it was amazing and I wouldn’t hesitate to listen to another by this author staring Damian Stockwell and narrated by Eric Bryan Moore of course!

Horror in Honduras

This story is action packed with great sense of humor. The characters are well developed and just a riot! I think Damian side kick/butler "the frenchman" steals the show! I love the time period and all the cool inspector gadget/007 toys. Damian can't seem to stay out of trouble he seems to go from one bad incident to another which will keep you on your toes and not wanting to put the book down. Fun listen and Eric Bryan Moore does an amazing job with his narration and the different characters.

Entertainment at it's best!

Starting a book and have no idea what you are getting yourself into can be daunting. When this book by Benjamin Wallace was recommended to me, that was the case. This Austin Powersesque story had me captured and entranced from the first scene! Damien Stockwell is a caricature of James Bond, with his strength, stamina and cunning ability to get out of the stickiest of situations. His sidekick Bertrand stole the show though. Much like Sherlock Holme's Watson, Bertrand keeps things real. The descriptions of battle along with the witty banter that Wallace infuses through the story will keep you entertained and laughing through the entire book. I can't wait to see what the indestructible Stockwell will find himself into next!

This book is filled with many characters, some with accents, others with gruff personalities. Eric Bryan Moore nails each and every one of these. He brings individuality to each person, and his ability to inflect fear, horror, and humor is incredible. The performance showcases his talent as a narrator and should not be missed.

What a Man

Loved the adventure, this man is action packed from the beginning. I like the fact that he cared about the bad guy being the victim under the mask. It wasn't their fault so he didn't want to hurt them. then the fights and flying and rescuing and everything.
