About this listen

Economic downturns separate winning companies from the struggling. And as best-selling author Jeffrey J. Fox shows, tough times also give solid companies, strong managers, and potential rainmakers the opportunity to seize market share.

How to Be a Fierce Competitor is the definitive “how-to” guide for understanding how to spot opportunity and then capitalize on it. This practical resource for business leaders and managers shows exactly how the savvy few who rise to the top stay focused and alert; gain new market share; hire good, recently fired talent; increase investments into customer service; speed innovation; train all customer-facing people; make acquisitions; get rid of underperformers; build brand names; pay for measurable performance; and lots more.

In 60 to-the-point, dynamic chapters, Fox offers a wealth of actionable items that can be used to weather any economic climate. As engaging as it is accessible, How to Be a Fierce Competitor reveals why bad times are good times, the difference between leaders and managers, how to stay off magazine covers, and why you are never on vacation.

With How to Be a Fierce Competitor, potential rainmakers, CEOs, marketing superstars, and great bosses can keep their competitive edge razor-sharp.

What did you like best about How to Be a Fierce Competitor? What did you like least?

I listened to this little book last night & today and suggest that it is worth hearing or reading. It has many gems, but they're mixed amongst some rigid and work-a-holic clods. I'm a fan of Jeffery Fox, so I'd like to give this one four stars, but fairness says three stars out of five. Fox could benefit from reading Covey more.
This is a good book to listen to on a 3 hour drive with nothing better to do.

Would you ever listen to anything by Jeffrey J. Fox again?

Absolutely.

Really love this book. It is packed with great recommendations, quotes, tidbits.

But especially great is I know I can come back to this book over and over and pick up anywhere, and not worry about storylines or whether it makes sense.

It all makes sense. It is all easy to read. Definitely need to buy the book!

Excellent, easy to read, pick it up anywhere!

This title was the first I listened on audible. It was my first experience, but among the best audible books I have ever listened to. The pace, the agressive intent in winning as a businessman, the extended scope of content and up-to-date concepts make this title absolutely recommendable.

For anyone who wants to move their business to the top 20% of their industry, this is the place to read!
