Grier is nursing a broken heart after Boaz announced his engagement to another woman, but life goes on. Or it would if vampire assassins would stop taking pot shots at her every time she leaves Woolworth House. Seriously, who sends archers to deliver murdergrams these days?
To protect herself, Grier must pull out all the stops, even if it means revealing her darkest secret. All eyes are on her, and - for the first time - she begins to understand why Linus wears so many masks.
But the target isn't Grier, and when the archers single him out, it feels like one of their arrows might have struck what remains of her heart.
Contains mature themes.

The story seems to take on a life of its own with each page turned and let me tell you that is a hard task! Each new danger or endeavor Greer and Linus go after pulls them closer and closer together. Which, it should. Greer and her protectors are in for a fight they can’t see coming. With each new threat the suspense of what’s going to happen grows.
The last few paragraphs of the book are my most favorite though. I won’t say why as I don’t want to ruin anything for someone else.
I can’t wait to start the next book!!
Holy Crap....

Seriously....is that not awesome?
Things have settled down a little in terms of the Boaz. Linus, Grier issue. We get to see that wonderful new relationship develop slowly and delicately. I have to admit, I am completely in love with Linus and I really like Grier and Linus together. It feels like it took long enough....
Things are happening around them as well and several questions are answered in this book - Grier's parentage, her abilities, her awareness of OTHER options.....
Anyway, great addition to the series and it ends in a way that I want to just keep going without stopping.
So, I think I will.....
I can honestly say that I am completely hooked.

I've loved every single audiobook in these series (re; to both: "The Beginners Guide to Necromancy,"/"The REDEMPTION 🙄 of Boaz Pritchard,") infact theres nothing negative whatsoever that I CAN say. I only have 💯 POSITIVE reviews in Every single aapect of all the novels so far...
ESPECIALLY this one! we had so many questions answered in this book however not necessarily resolved so i am interested to see how everyone evolves even more. ESPECIALLY Grier & Linus 💓 hes so adorably scary lol
i also realized something about myself thru "Grier's," words during the part where she is getting life advice from Leafy (re-the whole spiel about Linus & Wooly.) Grier states she had "expected better," from both and holy hell, i can wholeheartedly relate. i now know (bc like Grier I have also missed out on quite a number years in my life & have had 2 also re-parent myself & basically also learned once again how to live life..Fortunately my reasons aren't due to being a resident at Atromentis or any prison thank Gd. Regardless I CAN relate to her in that sense aswell as learning - just exactly like Grier does in that same convo- what the whole point is to creating boundaries (or as Leafy words them as, "Rules,") why do we even need them? what happens if those people cross those lines in the sand ; was is it they will loose? what would be their consequence of choosing to cross said line. All that lovely stuff I learned thru a therapist Grier learned in a sentence lol in all seriousness the bit that really made me pay attention was when Grier states,"I would think honesty is a GIVEN," BC tbh like me-Griers one of those rare truly honest people. Not just with herself but with those very few shes left into her close circle. ..anyway I'll stop rambling idk if anyone else can relate to that but I love how Hailey Edward's writes. Her writing style is awesome and I'm thrilled with Rebecca Mitchell's narration. I've not heard her before & always dread a new narrator tbh but im loving this I'm every way as I said and I think anyone who skips this series has to be a huge a$$ fool bc they're bloody brilliant inevery way ..now I'm needing to hit play once again desperately needing to start the next novel in this fabulous series!!
