About this listen

Learn about the workings of the Human Body with iMindsJNR audio learning series for younger minds.

The human body is more sophisticated than even the best computer. But while scientists know more about the human body than perhaps anything else, there are still mysteries that baffle us. When it comes to the human body, it seems that the more we know, the more we realize we don’t know!

The human body is a collection of 100 trillion tiny cells. These are the body’s building blocks. Each cell has the same basic structure: an outer skin, a nucleus, and a jelly-like fluid containing floating organelles. However, there are many different types of cells. There are fat cells, blood cells, brain cells and many more!

Perfect to engage, entertain and broaden young thinkers.. iMindsJNR brings knowledge to your MP3 with 5 minute information segments for growing minds.

iMindsJNR offers 6 main categories for ages 7-14years including General Knowledge, Geography & Nature, Famous People, Science & Math, The Arts and History.

Make your MP3 smarter with iMindsJNR MindTracks, intersperse with music and enjoy learning a little about a lot.. knowledge to help shape young minds.

Editorial reviews

Though an audio course on the human body could probably fill an infinite number of minutes, iMinds manages to squeeze a lot of information into just five of them. This episode, performed by Australian actor Todd MacDonald, is meant to serve as an overview of the human organism for younger listeners (between the ages of seven and 14). The facts provided are fairly basic - covering cells, organs, and systems - but the narrative also hints at all the biological puzzles that remain to be solved. Young minds will have their curiosity piqued, especially when encouraged by MacDonald's friendly and astute voice.

Critic reviews

"I'm learning all sorts of stuff about stuff I didn't even know I didn't know. And it sticks. In a nutshell: wonderful." (Jonathon Margolis, Financial Times)

This book is short but has good information; may be good for a short overview for school. In another book this narrator struggled with some words but this time the pace was good and well read. Again I wouldn't pay for such a short book but when free its a good listen and I think would be good for a teacher or sub giving an overview of what children would be learning in biology or health class.

this had some good anatomy information I only wanted more I absolutely like the narrator his voice was wonderful very clear I like the music they played in the background as well the information is a refresher of things I already know but when you don't use your knowledge sometimes you may or may not remember it I look forward to many more of these I wish there was just one audiobook that had all of this together
