About this listen

Heaven and hell are at war, with Earth as their battleground. For time immemorial, humans have been their playthings.

But not anymore.

I was just a regular guy until I tapped into the primordial power of humanity known as the Archon System. Now, I have powers humans were always meant to have.

Upsetting power balances is never simple, though. Heaven won't like what I've done, and you can bet that hell will be after a piece of me too.

What they'll find, though, is that I'm not the only human with the Archon System.

Humanity is rising up to become what we were always meant to be - the greatest power in existence.

too serious

I love the Narrator. However this time the MC sounds way too serious all the time. MC keeps calling her crazy but she is proven correct time and time again.

Original, engaging story but too short

I almost returned this title because of the main character narrator. He's a fantastic narrator, but a bit too upscale to play a 30-year-old retired tech bro from Iowa. He's amazing voicing all the other characters but it just took me out of the moment dear such a prim and proper voice actor voicing this MC. Think James Earl Jones voicing Luke Skywalker.
But I got over it about halfway through, and it got better at 1.2x speed. The female narrator is perfect.

I wish the author spent a little less money on the MC narrator and more time making the first book longer.
The overall story is pretty unique it draws from multiple genres but in a way that I haven't heard before. It's an epic sci-fi/fantasy book that was engaging and didn't need all the sexy scenes, but they helped and we're all well done. Organic and not forced. He's not a wimp or a jerk with his women.
If this author wrote longer books and dialed the sex down just a little he could become a top-selling mainstream author for fantasy.
I'm definitely finishing the series and hoping it continues, but I'm not sure I'm buying another audible because of how short they are but the first book got me hooked I want to know what happens.

Your avrage weakminded harem protag

wanted to like this story, but the mc is as the title says your avrage weak mc, that cannot do shit without his romance, tons of anime protag tropes too, as the mc has to be the weakest link both mentaly and physiaclly as well, such a overused theme. And ofcourse no agency in the mc, has to get acceptance from his romantic intrest, or he wont act, instead he'll let the OBVIOUS bad guy do whatever he wants...

only thing missing here is that the mc decides killing people is wrong because: killing -> bad.
