About this listen

Have you ever come across those stories with heroes who knew just how to get things done?

The ones who were masters in five different martial arts, and knew ten ways to skin a bear after killing it with their bare hands?

Yeah, that wasn’t me.

Hell, I had trouble asking a girl out on a date.

But someone in clerical must have made an error. Because I got ripped from an airplane on my way home after my last day in the Coast Guard.

I mean, come on, I wasn’t even in one of the hardcore branches of the military or anything!

On top of that, as soon as I arrived in this new world, I got sent to jail and conscripted.

So, that was fun.

But I found out I was unique. The first human on Camaria to have an affinity for all three of the elements humans had taken from the dungeons.

Fire, Earth, and Water.

Now, I’m being sent to this academy. It’s a place to learn how to be the hero they expect — no, the hero they need me to be. To save humanity and all the other races I guess.

I mean, we all have to start somewhere, right?

Oh, and there is this girl. Okay, maybe more than one…

Anyway, this is my journey. The chronicles of how I went from Mr. Average to the most powerful Hexinblade this world has ever known.

Few issues. MC basically stands for up himself. Although, when push comes to shove and things happen like killing of the innocent. He’s super against it. Then does nothing about it not even going as far as to vow to himself… etc.. Then to be walked on by pretty much everyone in power over and over again. Gets irritating and there is no response or retort.

To be fair, he doesn’t have the strength to do or say much and back it up. So take that as you will. For me, it grated with the consistency that it occurred.

There is spice in this book. However, the last scene where the Romantic interest allows outsider to watch their intimate moment. Keeping a secret and using the MC without him getting angry or once again stating he wouldn’t let it go until he found out.. Felt like a breach of Trust that needed to be addressed.

Lastly, the character on the cover matches no one in the book. If it’s supposed to be the romantic interest they are far off. In the picture the Chest size, hair color, and ability level do not match. Rather irritating. Not that I’m opposed to the body type just the inaccuracy is hard to get past. I was like oh new person. Nope …

Anyway it’s worth a credit.

Book was good read. Funny and interesting, Spice

so this first book is nothing but set up. there really noting going on escape the set up for the story. it was pretty character driven and understanding why the world is F. so for those wanting to know about the spicy scenes there is only one but it have 2 povs and it's literally the last bit of the book other then the bad guy end critics. there's no powers used of really seen other then the prolog.

if you don't like slow openings you'll have a hard time with this book. it's nothing but setup for the action story.

Honestly I really liked the story but book 1 was mostly world building because on the progression aspect well the only gains access to his powers until only like 3 or 3 chapters ar3 left on the book and spice level is minimal. sp hopefully mc advances fast on the next book and please more spice on the next book

Good one

This story is really refreshing and the humor is great. Along the lines of Deadpool. I find the MC in this story, very relatable and human. I think a lot people would react in kind put in this situation that he’s thrust into.
I will say it it is true as another reviewer has pointed out that the story does start off slow however it is laying the groundwork for some of the other issues within the storyline which I personally would rather have upfront. It also gives you peices to connect as the story unfolds. However, once past the the prologue the story has a good pace. The voice acting…what can I say when you have Aurora Bliss and Jonathan Waters together in any story it’s gold. The worst thing I can say about this book honestly is that it was over too soon as soon and having to wait for the next book.

Don’t pass this story up unless you don’t like humor

Really great start to this series. Looking forward to the next book to see where the story continues. The voice actors were great. Enjoy hearing them every time.
