The complete series in a single offering!

The Splinter came, and the world ended.

Ryne Miller woke up five hundred years later. Now, all alone and with no one he knew left alive, he chances across humans among the concrete wilderness.

And these aren't people like him. No, these are stone-age like tribespeople - three women whose tribe has been slaughtered by a Great Beast.

They seek a Chieftain. One who can lead them into glory. One who can harness the power of the crystals and its magic-giving mists.

But tribespeople are not the only creatures who live and breath in this strange future. Crystal-tainted monsters and far worse roam the lands, hunting their prey in the remains of what is now ancient civilization.

If Ryne's second chance at life is to last more than a few days, he'll have to protect and nurture this new tribe from all who seek to harm it.

I like it simply because Everytime I hear Dodeka I think about star wars lol. not the best review but I think it s funny in my own way. it really has been a good story so far in its own way. Although fair warning to some people, it's not narrated in the male character voice. it's narrated in female voice with the male character being male supporting voice. it's a little bit different but still good in my opinion. give it an hour or two and you can get used to it to enjoy it.

honestly good so far into chapter 5

The overall story was good. But the main characters are always college kids. I really think they should put a navy seal or assassin in the main characters place or at least someone with a killer instinct. You don’t make a collage kid chief of a tribe then try to make him warlord. Also I think the magic system sucks. Also I’m sick of the honor bullshit. If your going to fight a duel to the death and your sorely outmatched you don’t cripple your main strength just so you have honor and look good in front of some girls. Also he really should stop giving people fourth and fifth chances to stab him in the back because of honor. I really liked the world aspect of the story but I think it would’ve been way better if it was an assassin mc. Trust no one and take control of the new world and start an empire

I’m sick of Main characters with no spine

I normally like Dante King’s stories but this was nothing like his work. The MC tend to start off dumb but they learn. Not this guy. He just stays dumb. He doesn’t even try. The concept of the story is good. The execution of the story sucked. There were errors or inconsistencies all over the place like no one read it before publishing. Like in the first book when Mabel and Ry, which weapons he takes the rifle and she takes his pistol because he needs more power and she doesn’t somehow he no longer has the rifle and then he has the pistol. This happens over and over again. For someone with 21st century knowledge placed into a Stone Age like era he acts dumber than the locals. It’s like he’s trying to hide everything that he knows and never show it. It’s very frustrating and ruins the whole story. And all the ancient ones seem to accept everything almost right away when it’s not realistic, it makes the character seem kind of flat and non-relatable. The narrators on the other hand performed perfectly. The voices the inflections of the mood you can feel it all.

Crappy MC with bad proofreading.
