Her dedication to a strong, self-reliant India drove her to implement major social and economic reforms, but also earned her critics who saw her as authoritarian.

Indira Gandhi’s leadership left an indelible mark on India’s path, solidifying her as both a symbol of resilience and a cautionary figure in the history of democratic governance.
