About this listen

What he remembered: His clothing size.
What he didn't remember: Everything else.

Navy SEAL Mitchell Shaw woke up one morning with no clue as to who he was. And the items hidden in his possession were no help: an address, along with a .22 caliber side arm. The address led him to the Lazy 8 Ranch - and its beautiful manager, Becca Keyes, who made him believe he might have a future. Even if he wasn’t sure about his past.

The gun was another story altogether....

Sweet

A relatively innocent book, e.g. no swearing - the author just writes “he swore.” Good story about a hero type struggling with amnesia.

Good Story, Painful narration

Would you consider the audio edition of Identity: Unknown to be better than the print version?

Probably not. The story seemed to be a good one, but the narration was lacking....excitement. No...variety. She tried her hardest. You could tell she was trying to get the excitement of the story out there, but she sounded like she was reading to a bunch of kindergarten kids! Not something you want in book like this.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

she could have put a little more passion in her performance. She tried to get excitement and anger across, but she just didn't deliver.

Awesome story

Always a pleasure listening to these stories. Just the right mix of mystery, suspense, and romance. The characters and their interactions are great!

Narrator Ruined It.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

The narrator made this hard to enjoy, and ruined the story.

What do you think your next listen will be?

How did the narrator detract from the book?

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Any additional comments?

bad-ass and dreamy?

Mitchell “Mish” Shaw’s story of amnesia is well enough, but my favorite scenes were when Lucky, Wes, & Bobby talked about his history-bio. My favorite of those was the story of his first time through Hell Week. The author and narrator have created an interesting contrast between Mitchell’s strength and determination in his history and the dreaminess of his time with Becca.
Heintz did a decent enough job of narration. I think she has a very pleasant, kind of romantic adult female voice; just male voices are not her strength.

Sweet addition.

Another good addition to the Tall, Dark and Dangerous series. It does get better with each book. A sweet romance, very little mystery. Defiantly read the series in order due to the fact the characters intertwine in the books. Read Troubleshooters series, they will suck you in and you will become obsessed with finishing them.

Terrible Narrator

Every time I listen to this series, I really struggle to get through this book because of the awful narrator.
