About this listen

Despite unimaginable odds, Marine Lieutenant Gant Maker has once again done the impossible, defeating the alien Vacra’s invasion force and nullifying their unstoppable doomsday device.

With their armada destroyed and their fleet crippled, the Vacra resort to the inconceivable: They sue for peace via an unexpected envoy. Fresh off his highly improbable victory, Maker now finds himself faced with the unenviable and undesirable task of escorting the Vacra representative home.

On a voyage fraught with peril, Maker and his contingent of misfit Marines must travel far beyond the bounds of known space, to a region where human beings are at best an unknown lifeform (and at worst, viewed as less than animals). Contending with alien slavers, space pirates, and warships, Maker is determined to accomplish his assigned task. However, he soon learns that the stakes are far higher than he ever imagined, as his mission exposes him to a new danger - a menace that threatens to destroy the entire human race if Maker can’t find a way to stop it.

Ignotus

Marine Lieutenant Maker is on another mission that will test him and his crew if they want to come back home. He must take his sworn enemy a Vacra into deep space back toward his home. What they find and fight together with the Vacra is way more than anyone ever expected and could spell the end of humanity if they can not defeat it.

This is a very exciting book, brimming with action and suspense it will take you on a roller coaster ride through space. LT Maker is a very colorful guy and I love his leadership style, he is a great Marine. I will be honest I can in on this book and it is book 3 of the series so I was a bit behind and I am not sure of the whole story but the author gives you a very condensed version so it really isn't a big deal. Narrator Mikael Naramore is awesome with all the characters and you will feel as if you are right there on the ship and part of the crew with them. I really like this book and I hope you all will too.

Kevin Hardman does it again

The third volume in the the adventures of Arrogant Maker has outdone the first two volumes. Hardman engages the reader from the very start and holds your interest through the last word. The stories are filled with excitement and characters who come across as real people.
Mikael Naramore’s narration and vocal characterizations keep the listener engaged and provide a clear understanding of which character is speaking as well as his voices being an excellent fit and adding depth to each individual character in the stories.

I hope there will be many more books and audiobooks in this series.

Maker Saves The Aliens

Another great space opera by Kevin Hardman. Great world-building, all sorts of aliens and a captain and crew it's hard not to like. A great story, well read and very entertaining.

Very entertaining dystopian scifi military story. Great storyline and excellent believable characters. Narrator was perfect for the role.

Oh, my!

Once again Mikael Naramore has done a magnificent job narrating. Hardman has written another winner leaving me hoping that there will be another book or three in his newest universe. Well done!

I thought this was going to be a superhero book. M

I thought this was going to be a superhero book. My fault I don't bother reading the leaflets or synopses from Mr. Hardman I just enjoy all his books. This one is more of a space faring tale with a lot of action and exenos scrapping with each other and us stuck in the middle. Maker is back this time he is humbling himself by bringing Scullcap the Vacra who almost killed Maker the human soldier.
Now maker has to escort Scullcap to his home world and its only maker he will trust for the job. In return humanity will be given technology lost to us.

The question is can Maker trust Scullcap not to kill him and can Skullcap trust Maker to get him through the gauntlet home.

Finnaly can they work out their differences.

Noooooo! Do NOT believe the hype. Its lies

This series severely disappointed me. I liked the first book but maybe jumped the gun a bit purchasing the other 2 before the sale ended. As the books progress the characters get less and less relatable or even likable. Humanity as a whole is portrayed as foolish easily tricked idiots who consistently fall into the aliens transparent ploys. If this is the best the author could come up with for a plot then i definitely wont be looking into anymore of his work. Theres the absurd relationship between the doctor and Maker which has no chemistry at all, just the woman throwing herself at this awkard guy who then acts like a horney school boy and doesnt do anything that might explain her attraction to him. Pretty much a fantasy on paper. Then we have the human space government or whatever falling for this one aliens ridiculous claims of being an ambassador and sending Maker and crew into what is so obviously a trap and the clincher is that Maker is still irrationally being blamed for an incident that happened years ago which has since been proven to be not his fault and in fact the fault of the aliens he claimed it was all along who i might add their falling for one of their traps again. The whole thing is an annoying unbelievable dumb mess. I honestly cant find one redeemable thing about this book if i tried.....
