About this listen

Sixteen-year-old Mochizuki Touya continues everyday life in his new world, well aware that it could all come tumbling down at any moment.

He's the budding administrator of Babylon, the fledgling grand duke of Brunhild, and now he's a... mecha pilot? Desperate to find a way to halt the incoming Phrase onslaught, Touya makes a mad dash for the Hangar of Babylon, hoping it can give him the edge he needs. What he finds is the Frame Gear, an ancient humanoid fighting machine! Join Touya and his ever-growing band of wives as they tap into their mechanical sides. All systems stand by for a tale of swords, sorcery, and oversized wrenches.

Narrated in duet style.

I am glad that they finally released book 6 after a year and a half hiatus. Hopefully the rest of the series will be released in a more timely manor. Gabriel Michael did a great job on Touya's character as he has been portraying it for several years now. However it is a shame that Diana Richardson could not be brought back. She had great vocal range. It is always a concern when there is such a large gap between audio books that you may not get the same voice actors back for the next volume. The new female voice actor Ashely Biski does not yet have the vocal range yet and the fiancee's for the most part sound alike and it is hard to differentiate between them. Hopefully with more practice she will be able to develop her vocal range and variability. Otherwise I am happy that this audible series is continuing and look forward to the future installments.

Good Book BUT!!!

It's been over a year since volume 5 came out, so I was super excited to see this come out. I was sad the previous female voice actress wasn't in this one, she had a much wider range of character voices, but is what it is. vol. 6 was one of my personal favorites in the series, alongside vol. 10 and 4 respectively. Gabriel again delivered an excellent performance as Touya, and did a wonderful job narrating.

FINALLY!!!!

The dual narration on the first five parts of the series was excellent, with clear differentiation between characters and the emotional states accompanying the dialog -- in particular the female characters.

However, for unknown reasons another female narrator was assigned to this volume. Aside from speech eccentricities on the part of two characters, in a number of places I had to pick up on any cues in the text portion as to who was speaking. They are largely interchangeable, so perhaps its a good thing that not all the potential wives were represented.

This change in casting immediately struck me. I had a feeling that something was serious wron within a few minutes of listening. A check of the credits confirmed the reason for this impression.

I seriously doubt that this narrator could carry the full load of central characters. The character voices presented here were essentially interchangeable and pitched higher -- which furthered a general similarity. Granted the characters in the series are in their early teens. Still, The reading suffers from this lackluster presentation.

I have the next volume on pre-order but, if the same replacement narrator continues on as she has here, I will probably discontinue following the title.

A Definte Disappointment

The lady running the hotel in brunhiled is Mika a female manager. Idk why she turned male at the end of this novel. Female voice actor really messed it up for me. Yae performance was lacking. Idk it feels like shield hero all over again

Remember character genders.
