About this listen

In the summer of 1918, Captain Marcus Weatherford arrives in Russia on a secret mission, with a beautiful ballerina posing as his fiancee. Marcus searches for the Romanov tsarina and her son—who both allegedly survived the murdering Bolsheviks—and the information behind an allied plot to assassinate Lenin. But Marcus's sense of duty battles his desire to return home to Clare—his actual love.

Hospital orderly Clare Danner still suffers from Marcus's betrayal and now fears losing her daughter to the heartless family who took Daisy away from Clare once before, but only Marcus can provide the critical proof needed to save her daughter.

Faced with danger and unexpected circumstances, can Clare trust Marcus, or will he shatter her world yet again?

Excellemt

I have been following Kate Breslin since her first book. I’ve watched her growth as she improved plot, setting and character development. She has polished each from the beginning, and I’ve felt with each new work that she was almost at the pinnacle of her art. But with “In Love’s Time” she has indeed succeeded in obtaining that goal. This book flows effortlessly, draws you into its heart, and creates a tension that isn’t resolved until the final pages. The plot is complex but not tedious; characters are believable and natural, evoking deep emotions and sympathies; and the setting is historic. Congratulations, Ms. Breslin, this is as good as it gets. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone who longs for a good book. In addition, Mary Sarah gave a stellar narration of this book. Her soft and steady voice and her wonderfully interpretive, though never overriding understanding of events, characters and emotions brought every word to life.

Amazing!

This book is Kate Breslin’s best yet—and that’s saying a lot! This story was fast-paced, suspenseful, and the characters were so believable. The only problem was in the audio production, as many words had a strange echo to them. However, the narrator herself was very good, and her voice acting enhanced the storytelling. I highly recommend In Love’s Time!

Great story

I did not love the narrative. Sometimes her words would slur or have an almost lisp sound. It was really hard to get used to. I just listen to it a little bit faster, and that helped. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the book.
