About this listen

I was there. I saw what you did.

Blaise

I wasn’t supposed to be there that night, but my friend Sienna talked me into going to the party in Land’s End so she could spy on her boyfriend. While hiding out in the woods, we witnessed an unspeakable crime. And we did everything wrong afterward.

Connections run deep in our small town.

I was pressured into keeping my mouth shut, even though every part of me objected. I assumed I’d always do the right thing in any situation. I was wrong about that and a lot of other things.

I was wrecked by what I saw and how the victim was treated by kids I’d known all my life. I’ve been sick over it ever since, even as I moved on, far away from the town where I was raised.

Fourteen years later, I learn that the guy who committed that unspeakable crime is running for Congress, and something in me snaps.

I can’t bear the weight of that knowledge for another second.

Finally, I report what I saw, and all hell breaks loose for me and others who were at that long-ago party. Some of them will do whatever it takes to keep the truth from coming to light…even if they have to kill me.

In the midst of an epic battle, a new love gives me the strength to stay strong, to fight for my life and to right a terrible wrong.

Content Warning: a sexual assault storyline may be upsetting to some listeners.

The story!

The story was amazing and the narrators did a great job! Marie doesn’t disappoint. One stand alone story I will listen again and again (like all her other books I have here). The switching PoV was something new, and she did a great job that helped build the characters and give insight. Absolutely loved it.

Incredibly powerful story

Wow. In The Air Tonight is a powerful, emotional, thought-provoking story of a young woman from a small town who reports a horrific crime 14 years later (definitely check the trigger warnings). At least, that's the first POV. Several POVs are given a voice, and each one is a powerful element in a search for justice. This incredible story is going to stick with me for a long time to come. The audio edition of In The Air Tonight is narrated by Emily Ellet and Christian Leatherman, and their performances added to the incredible emotions of the story. I definitely recommend listening to the audiobook.

Great Story

In The Air Tonight was a really great story. Marie Force has done it again this story will have you tearing up at times and then having you giggling at times. The narrators do an excellent job they really made the characters come alive. You felt the emotions the characters were experiencing. You could feel the joy, pain and sadness that the characters were feeling. Overall this was an emotional story that will definitely tug at your heartstrings and make you care about the characters. I highly recommend this book. This is a book about a sensitive subject and to me Marie did an amazing job in her story telling.

Grey areas

I really liked this one, as I do all of Marie’s. This one really takes a look at “what would you really do” when faced with a tough choice, and how that choice can affect your life. As long as Marie keeps writing, I’ll keep listening!!

Heartbreaking

This story was a tragic story about lives, family, and the actions of one person. Rape is serious and sadly in our society, this is exactly what happens. Victims and witnesses need to feel safe to come forward and report the crime. It was heartwarming to hear Denise and Blaze did have a happy life.

Talk Wicked to me please!

I absolutely loved this book! I had read it when it first came out. Listening to it adds another level of enjoyment. thr narration is perfect. I still felt like I was on the edge of my seat even though I know what was going to happen next. I love the two narrators, which go back and forth between Baz and Emerson. They were perfect. This book is so good, laugh, cry, swoon, fan yourself from the heat. This story has it all!

Fantastic new stand alone

This is about what happens when teenagers are at an end of school party. The party is held when the parents are out of town. When two girls witness a horrific violation, they decide not to tell anyone because of what might happen to them and their friends. Now fourteen years later, the perpetrator is planning on rrunning for public office, This pushes one of the witnesses, Blaise to come forward and tell what she saw that night. This book tells what happens to all involved when the truth comes out. Everyone is intertwined with each other since it's a small town. I really liked the new relationships that happen and seeing what has happened to all the rest involved. This is not a lighthearted book and may have some triggers for some because of a sexual assault. The narration by Emily Ellet and Christian Leatherman was fantastic.

The reader is nasally when male speaking in voices. Also to much exaggerated teen voices

The reader was so over exaggerated it made it a 80’s teen movie show
