About this listen

Even the most powerful love can't save a condemned soul.

Pain is an abyss. How naive of me to think I’d already reached the very depths of it when fate shook my world with a crushing blow. It turns out there are fathomless levels of pain, like a winding labyrinth of doors leading to shadowy figures and long-forgotten secrets. The kind of inescapable descent into madness that twists nightmares into reality.

What lies at the end of this obscure path I have yet to discover. But where it begins is a place called Infernium: an asylum feared by those in Nightshade and untrodden by the angels who’ve forsaken its many lost souls.

Some say it’s the gateway to hell. Others believe it’s where you go when the last flicker of hope dies out. For me, it’s where I’ve damned myself for eternity—my penance for a crime against the heavens and home to the demons that claw at my mind. Yet, not even they stand a chance against my dark angel, Jericho. He fears nothing—except losing me.

The longer I remain trapped, though, the stronger this darkness inside me grows: a duality dividing my heart between love and revenge. Soon, saving me may no longer be an option.

I loved Nightshade and couldn’t wait to finish the story. This did not disappoint. Great story. Great actors.

I loved the audiobook. It would’ve been great to have an extra voice but the two were fabulous!!

Amazing

the performance, the writing it's all just wonderful. I personally feel Keri Lake is a genius. she is a phenomenal writer. very few authors are capable of creating such intrinsic and intriguing works. I am so sad for having finished this duology. but I will await anathema and move onto salt and bone. here's to nightshade, and Keri Lake -- the BEST gothic romantasy author.

Absolute True Love

The storyline and the narrators were great, but these books didn't have to be so long. The MFC made way too many bad choices that only seemed to draw the story out. Enjoyed it, but it took way too long to tell the story.

Liked thus duology, but...

I'm not gonna lie, I'm a fan, huge fan of this author and I have read this duology (Nightshade and Infernium) more than once...and holy WOW.

If you are a fan of these books, the very talented Ryan West and Islay Jacobs have brought this epic journey to vivid life and it's a whole other level of the magnificence of this story. I know I may sound biased, and maybe I am, but I encourage you to experience it for yourself....trust me, you won't be sorry.

The imagery and emotions the voice actors bring to their performance is like experiencing this masterfully told story all over again for the first time. This has got to be one of the best performances I've ever experienced in audiobooks.

Wow...just WOW!

Enjoyed the thickening plot, character development and social interactions that truly make sense. It's tragic with panic attacks, and a demon possessed by unwavering dedication to achieve a self righteous goal. After all life isn't fair, (even past lives) and you can't choose your parents, or escape your fate. But you can refuse to accept it, and do everything possible to try to make it right beyond reason.

Great duology.

All I can say is, this book has so many turns within the plot. At first I kinda hated it but after a while when I was able to lock into the story I became hooked. The ending is well worth it and quite surprising but it all ends up making sense. Have patience and become enveloped by this romance. This is the one book that may beat “the notebook” pertaining to the constant reinforcement and declarations of how far someone will go for the one they love. I cried.. laughed a little.. and was engrossed by both books. I normally listen to rom coms so it took about two weeks to finish both due to the dark themes. This should become filmed!

It was a journey but I loved it!

This is the best romantic series I have read. Incredible, I cannot believe there is such a good series out there.
Thank you Keri Lake for such a masterpiece.

100/10

One of my fav books as the first one (top 3). Stil enough erotica for my taste. Took one star off again as it is not a true duet (not all male voices are narrated by the male narrator and female voices narrated by the female narrator). Over than that, perfect!

Took off one star for performance

Loved this series so much!

The second book was definitely darker than the first book. Just be mindful if you have triggers. Not everyone has a hea.

Narrators did a great job. So happy West had more audio time than the first book.

This was my first experience with the author and will definitely read more of her books.

Great ending to the duology
