Publisher's summary

Logan and the survivors of America’s Counter Alien Unit are stranded on an empty alien space station near Saturn. Luckily, a Galactic Guard dreadnought is coming. They believe the ship belongs to the Galactics that have quarantined Earth for over 6000 years. Logan hopes to join the Guard and see the stars, and escape those on Earth trying to kill him.

But when the dreadnought arrives, the captain beams giant killer apes with laser rifles onto the station. The captain, a criminal hijacker, hopes to loot the Earth of lost Polarion technology. Worse, he plans to destroy the planet later to hide his tracks from the real Galactic Guard.

To save the Earth, Logan will fight the aliens on the station. He will fight them in space, and he will fight them underground. He will never surrender.

weak plot

Vaughn Heppner is a great author, but this story isn't his best work. it felt silly and like there wasn't really much of a plot line.

Narrator change

Normally I am not a fan of narrator changes, especially when that narrator was Christian Rummel... However I like Kafer as much as I like Rummel so this was not disappointing and I think it works.

I look forward to the next!

too much sexual innuendo.

was not author's best work. scattered and hard to fallow. dis-organized scattered thoughts. was overall hard to fallow. overall the story would have been better without the large amount of serial implications

I really miss the old voice actor

voice actor in previous parts was wat better. It really took a lot away from the story for me. i could not enjoy this as much as the other parts.

don't know why I come back for more

Pretty juvenile poorly written story with a good kern of plot. Horrible performance, or maybe that is the way it is supposed to be read?

what the heck?

first off I 1got through the first chapter and was disliking the narrator. compared to the first 3 books, who the heck was this? personally I think his narration was horrible. it lacked any character, no difference in voice for the character, no changes in pitch or anything. it was flat, and even hard to listen to at times. it completely killed the story, which already lacked the same pace and interest that the first 3 had. I pray that when book 5 comes out it is narrated by Christian again otherwise I may not bother suffering through another book.

the series started out well

had a great start. each book became slightly less tolerable than the last. It's only saving grace was that the first three had my favorite narrator. his acting and range are impeccable. Sadly, the new narrator not only is severely lacking, it almost sounds like an A.I. voice devoid of punctuation, inflection, and even the slightest change of tone. the writer also takes moments to air his political views. Which are obvious and unnecessary, ultimately .

Run on reader is HORRIBLE

The reader does not pause for commas or periods. This leads to barely being able to understand what is being said. English is my first language and this is what a third grader sounds like reading before they learn punctuation. Horrible experience. Will never buy another audio book with Jeffery Kafer as the voice. Will not call him the narrator as that would insult other narrators.

Narrator change not for the best

The narrator on the first 3 books did a great job and you could really “feel” the main characters attitude. A new narrator on the 4th and hopefully final book was a poor choice and did not do a very good job. That coupled with the plot line being way out there made the plot very weak sounding. The characters had none of their prior essences which made it difficult to listen to
