It was supposed to be just a one-night stand.
After being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, 25-year-old Jill Corrigan takes herself off the romantic market. Not wanting to become a burden to a potential partner, she focuses on her career as an actress instead.
On the set of a disaster movie, she meets stunt woman Kristine “Crash” Patterson, whose easy smile instantly makes Jill wish things were different. Meanwhile, Crash is trained to fall, but she didn’t count on falling in love.
Despite their growing feelings for each other, Jill resolves to let Crash into her bed, but not her heart.
As they start to play with fire on and off camera, will they really be able to keep things just physical?

A steamy trist evolves when two lovers, who have everything to lose, have everything to gain in each other!

Although, I have notice that is a recurrent theme in Jae's novels. Her characters always seem to run away from love instead of embracing it outright. I’m not saying I do not sympathise with them, nor am I perturbed by the realisation, but at the same time it's like what are you afraid of? Love is not always easy to find. Sometimes you just have to take chance.
Despite Jill’s illness she’s so afraid of her condition and becoming a burden that she is ignoring the fact that there's someone whom is eager to have relationship with her! To make it one step easier, Crash joined support group for caregivers of Jill’s disease. Praise God that she had the courage to do that and still want to stay around.
Whilst Jill is concerned of her future here’s Crash constantly essentially saying “do not let this disease scare you away from how I feel about you, I'm not going anywhere despite your MS”. Jill is so distressed over her possible debilitating future she's missing out on someone whom brings joy to her life; someone who understands her, empathise, sees the woman past the disease. Leaving it as only a physical relationship was not enough. Sometimes fear is a good thing, it means that you have something worth losing.
Take a leap of faith... give love a chance

Story good narrator not for me

As a professional with MS, I was very invested in a story unveiling some of the fears and stuggles of trying to succeed in life when an invisible monster keeps gunning for you. So, the narration literally offended me because I knew it was going to greatly impact others being able to even finish the book.
Aaargh.... Jae, what were you thinking approving this type of depiction by the narrator of your characters?? I was planning to purchase the previous book, Damage Control, but see it's the same narrator... Aaarghh... Sigh
Save me from this narrator!

As the title suggests, Jill wants her relationship with Crash to be “just physical” with no strings attached and certainly no long-term promises. This was definitely much more steamy than you usually see in a book by Jae but you won’t hear any complaints from me. I thought it was awesome.
Hollywood romance with a dose of seriousness…
