Complex, Intense, and Captivating!

This is the second book in The James Brickman Series, a police procedural series. I like this interconnected series with an ongoing plot. It is better to read this series in order, starting with the short prequel First Murder. In this installment, we follow Brick in his investigation, four years later after the events that happened in the first book. He is an amazing character. I like his sharp mind, and his determination. The story is told from multiple POVs, which is great. The plot is well crafted, and captivating. The storyline is intense, emotional, complex, entertaining, and enthralling, filled with revenge, danger, murders, angst, and twists and turns. I liked the action, the mystery, and the twists and turns. The cast of supporting characters is impressive. Jeff Moon did an excellent job bringing this story to life. Looking forward to listening to Blackout Murder, the next book in the series. I highly recommend this captivating series.

Justice for the Guity

Good characters and an interesting second story for this series. There was plenty of action and the intrigue kept me interested right through until the end.

The narration was good.

full circle??

Remorse comes much too late for some, but does revenge taste sweet or is it bitter???" What a tangled web we weave , when we practice to deceive." This was a tangle of lies , truths, greed, and revenge. I found it very interesting and appreciated the vigilante justice meted out , legal or not!!! Looking forward to the next book. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a good job bringing it to life.

Murder Mystery

I enjoyed this fast paced, action-packed murder mystery of special agent James Brickman and his team searching for the killer of those guilty in human trafficking. Narrator Jeff Moon did a great job on the voices.
