About this listen

Erin Wade’s best yet. With more twists than a moonshine run in the Kentucky hills, Two Ways to Die is a cliff hanger you’ll think about long after you finish the last chapter. You’ll fall in love with Java Jarvis and Kat Lace as they scorch the chapters with their desire for one another. Another number one best seller for Erin.

Java Jarvis is like no heroine you ever met. The kind of woman every girl wants to meet at least once in her lifetime. She’s every woman’s dream and every criminal’s nightmare. One of the hottest lesbian novels of the year.

Kept me guessing!

Who is the killer? This book definitely kept me guessing. I took a star away for two reasons. First, there was 2 plot lines. This could’ve been two books. I think too many plot lines detracts from the other. Second, the book wasn’t steamy enough, and I know this is a personal choice. Very PG. Otherwise, this book had me listening through the night. The narrator as always was phenomenal. I’ve added more of Erin Wade’s books to my wishlist.

Love it

I really enjoyed this book! There were so many strange twists and turns that I couldn’t put it down. And I really enjoyed the narrator and enjoy listening to Victoria Mei in other Erin Wade’s books. I was excited to move on to part 2 but had to return the 2nd book because I couldn’t listen to it, 4 minutes was all I could make it since the narrator (was different) was like a robot and annoying. So I guess I’m going to have to read the 2nd book at some point!! But this book is really good!

Great reading

Once again the combination of Erin Wade & Victoria Mei kept me enthralled in this book. I am greatly hoping there is a part 2 to this. I am curious to see what this dynamic duo have in store.

Love Everything About This Series

A flaming hot romance with a team of gorgeous FBI agents. Java Jarvis runs a supper club in New Orleans while working as an FBI agent. She is deeply in love with fellow agent Kat Lace but relationships are forbidden. While they try to track down two viscous serial killers the dangers are growing exponentially. Great narration.

Confused premace

Okay so first of all the Team of investigators and their whole set up doesn't really make any sense. You'd only set up that kind of undercover operation if you had some idea that a complex criminal conspiracy was working out of that area. There's no way it would be prudent or wise to set up undercover agents in a static location where they could only do investigations by leaving their area of control. Also, the composition of the team is bizarre. You have a profiler who doesn't do any profiling. A computer expert who doesn't really do anything with computers. A poisoner... for reasons?... who doesn't do anything with her specialty. And the other one who as far as i can recall is a hostess... and that's all she does.
Getting away from the set up. Their style of investigation doesn't make any sense. supposedly they are under cover... so why are they running down leads and interrogating suspects? because witnesses don't find it weird that a jazz singer and a cocktail waitress are asking leading questions and accompanying a known FBI agent(because of course Java can't keep her cover so save her life) and a police detective to crime scenes???
As far as the amazing twists and turns the synopsis promised? I made a bet with myself. at the half way point I wrote down the two names i was convinced was behind the murders. And I was not surprised by the reveals. i was surprised that Java fell for both again and again. The only surprise that actually surprised me was the one that was just mind boggling as to why it was not in a sci fi novel and instead in a modern era crime novel. Also. Java and Kat were the absolute worst undercover couple in the history of the term. There is no way that a team of investigators or even a passing stranger wouldn't know immediately what the deal was there.

Coffee for Life

Victoria Mei hits it out of the park, as always brings into the story as it is written and take into the book. Imagine when you are in the bar or in the Big Easy, and the heat of the book. With a twist of something to go HUH, wow didn't see that. I great book with the perfect person to read it.
