About this listen

Kind-hearted Margaret Haselden takes in a stray dog found rummaging through her rubbish bins, yet the scrappy little terrier may prove more than she can handle.

When the prized bulldog of the Duke of St. Lawrence is set upon by a mangy cur, His Grace is outraged, but a compassionate beauty at the end of her tether pleads his forgiveness.

Soon, Edward finds himself looking forward to early morning walks and easy company at Margaret’s side. Can the head of the illustrious Cherrill family choose love over duty, or will he come to heel like so many dukes before him?

Romance heat level: warm.

I received this book for free. I am voluntarily posting this review and any opinions expressed herein are my own.

This has a cute premise and likeable characters - but for me - this really lacked an engaging story and should have ended well before it actually did. The narrator, Katherine Anderson, has a nice voice with a slight British accent and did a nice job.

Lacked an Engaging Story

A Victorian romance, dogs who help them find each other. Cute quick listen. Really good narrator.

Heat level is not sweet. It is at the end after they are wed.

What a sweet book this is! If you are looking for angst and drama you won't find that here. "Kiss me, Your Grace" is just an all around nice, enjoyable trip into old London where station and propriety are everything, but love beats all. It's about looking past the trappings and seeing the person underneath. It's an easy listen and a nice way to spend a few hours. For me, the narrator took a little bit to warm up to, but then I couldn't imagine anyone else's voice for Margaret. Great read, definitely worth your time!

This is a clean historical romance. Very well written.
If you love dogs you will love this book!
I loved all the characters and I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

Katherine Anderson did a great job with the narration although I think the bulldog should have had a lower full bark!

This was a review copy and this is my honest review.

Parents: PG13 this is really for an adult crowd
Language: PG
Violence: PG - normal to genre, nothing overly graphic
Sexual content: R - there's a very graphic bedroom scene not for younger readers

So this has a sweet storyline for regency fan and dog lovers. It's not the most engaging of storylines but it's not a super long book so it worked out well. Honestly I was a bit shocked when this one went the way of the bodice rippers.... it was 90% clean and then there was that one bedroom scene that changed everything.

The narrator does a great job, has good differentiations, a pleasant voice and accent. I preferred listen at 1.25x speed.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

A great sweet love story. Going from strangers to friends to being in love all because of their dogs. If you are looking for a nice relaxing read with some humour this is the book for you.

Kiss Me, Your Grace is a sweet period romance about a girl who adopts a stray dog and a Duke with his own pet. The story is a pleasant one, but it drags at the end.

Most of the book is pretty clean, but there is a mild sex scene at the end. If you are concerned about that, you can stop reading as soon as the couple marry and you won’t miss much.

The narrator is well suited to the book and does a nice job bringing it to life.

I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook. This is my honest and voluntary review.

A sweet period romance with dogs

I hate leaving a less than positive review, but I couldn’t finish the story. I got 1/3 through before giving up.

The issues: The primary problem with the story was that the description of what occurred didn’t match what was shown. For example, there is a scene where a gentleman walks away when a lady asks him a question, yet later someone refers to it as a row. There was no argument because he chose to cut her.

My other complaint was that slang was over used and proprieties were disregarded multiple times.

The narration was ok other than the dog sounds; and dog sounds hardly detracted from the story.
