  • We examine how Colin, Josh, and their friends deal with being quarantined during COVID in: "Going on a Date", and how they cope with their best friends becoming infected with the deadly virus in: "Colin VS. COVID".
  • We also examine how Colin and Josh respond to the thought of having a child in: "The Child We Want". We see them in both good times and bad.
  • We examine their text messages in: "Text Messages", and feel Colin's rage after the George Floyd shooting in Minneapolis in "They're Not Cops!".

Each of these tidbits are a profoundly different lens through which we can view Colin and Joshua's life together. Each is a moment that adds to the tapestry of their love and their journey both as individuals and as a couple. I hope you enjoy Lawyer on My Case.

Janice Jarrell is a writer who can not only let you see the scenery but also feel every word. Walker Williams brings each individual character to life. Hearing these characters voices enact with each other makes me feel like a fly on the wall. Janice Jarrell is such a talented writer who brings current events into the Book. I like that because you have a reference when the Book takes place. Also you feel the love these characters have for each other. I love these Books and Colin, Joshua, David and Nate are characters I will never forget. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS AUDIBLE!!!!!!!!!! Author Janice Jarrell and Narrator Walker Williams are a winning combination.

This is a good collection of short stories that are within the Fearless Heart series. We get little snippets of several points that happen during Colin and Josh's relationship. I really enjoyed listening to it all especially with the great narration by Walker Williams.

If you are a fan of Janice Jarrell’s books you won’t want to miss this one. I loved all of the short stories in this collection but I think my favorite is Terms of Endearment. In this story Colin and Josh are with their good friends David and Nate and they get into a discussion about what pet names Colin calls Josh.

When Nate asks Josh what endearment Colin uses most often Joshua laughs and says “bud.” In other books in this series, I’ve kind of wondered why Colin calls Joshua “bud” and this story give a perfectly reasonable explanation. 🥰

One of the other things I really enjoyed about this group of stories is that we get to see a lot more of David and Nate than what I think we have in the other books in this series. The Fearless Heart series is primarily about Colin and Josh, and if memory serves me, David and Nate appear in the other books but they don’t get as much “on page” time as they do in this collection.

I don’t think you should try to read this book as a standalone. For the full impact of the short stories, you need to know what has happened to Colin and Josh in the previous books. I highly recommend starting with the Relevant Heart series and then continue on with the Fearless Heart series.

I can’t forget to say what a wonderful job Walker William does performing these characters. He uses distinctive voices for each one and it is easy to tell who is speaking. Janice Jarrell found the absolutely perfect performer for her characters when she hired Walker Williams.

Story: Josh and Colin are undoubtedly one of my favorite MM romance couples and it was lovely to hang out again. Janice Jarrell has a great skill at creating these little nuggets of stories about the two that give so much insight into their relationship and personalities, while remaining entertaining at the same time. Loved every single minute!
Narration: At this point there is no Josh and Colin in my head without Walker William's voice. His performance adds another layer of personality for all the characters!

Janice Jarell started off this collaberation with yet another set of short stories that fit right into the fearless heart series of our beloved couples journey. And then Walker does his magic again and gives our guys the love and animated life they so deserve. We listen as the guys deal with Colin's auxiliary postion and Josh's fears. We listen as the guys spend ti.e with thier besties. We even listen as they tackle covid in both the seemly endless loneliness to helping when thier best friend are both taken down but they help them in many ways out of love and despite some srubbornness. As his the bechmark with this teaming of Janice's writing a d the narration of Walker you hear the love and all the other emotions we just couldn't wait to hear come to life in this excellent book.

I enjoyed this as much both in the reading and the listening. I felt the love and the chills and shivers of pleasure, fear and love. I love the intontions of each distinct voice walker gives the guys. I love the highs and lows he gives to each emotion and properly matches it to the tone of the story throughout each part of the narrative as well.

I thank both the talented author for another great reading experince as well as the talented narrator for the pure listening joy. And i look forward to what comes later.
