About this listen
A managing beauty. A determined bachelor. A delightful romp!
When their elderly guardian dies, Faith Whitford is determined to set up house in Bath and look for respectable country gentlemen for her four sisters. She has no ambitions for mingling with the ton. What she did not expect was a new guardian, in the form of a London Beau to be appointed over them, nor that he would take any interest in their care.
Lord Westwood is London's most determined bachelor, and frequently finds himself bored with Society. When his beautiful new wards track him down at his hunting box, he decides to bring them out for amusement, anticipating the havoc their beauty will wreak upon the Beau Monde.
Instead of watching as a bystander, he finds he finds his own existence being turned upside down as he is lured into one thing after another by his charming wards . . . including the ultimate trap!

Story
Hidden away in rural Devonshire, Phyllida Satterthwaite has always been considered more odd than beautiful. But in London, her oddity has made her a sensation. Far worse, it’s caught the eye of the sinister Duke of Moreland - a notorious art collector obsessed with acquiring one-of-a-kind treasures. To escape the duke’s clutches, she’s going to need a little help. Captain Arthur Heywood’s days of heroism are long past. Grievously injured in the Peninsular War, he can no longer walk unaided, let alone shoot a pistol. What use can he possibly be to a damsel in distress?

Lord Farnsworth would rather rot in debtor’s prison than sell the one place that feels like home to him—his mother’s manor. That is, until he meets the woman who wants to buy it. Sally Duncan is beautiful, intelligent, and as rich as a baron—a rich baron, not a cash-strapped one like Lord Farnsworth. She’s the solution to every one of his financial problems and is bewitching to boot. All he needs to do is sell her his beloved manor and then charm her to the altar, and the manor will be his again. Simple, right?

Swept away!
I loved this book and I’m very excited about another series from Elizabeth Johns. The pull of love is always fun to read and be invested in. I do wish there was more danger in the plot. I always like the desperation to last longer.
But I appreciate clean romance with stories similar to my own. Well done

Lots of laughs!
This is my first Elizabeth Johns book and it won’t be my last! A great regency romance, and a clean book with plenty of romance and humor. Lots of good characters to people the story and I’m sure there will be sequels about many of them. Narrator deserves superlative kudos.

Loved it!
I, honestly, did not expect to like this book as much as I did. I can be a hard judge. However, I thought the characters and dialogue were humorous and endlessly entertaining. The plot was well filled out and satisfying too. I highly recommend this story and cannot wait for the rest of the series.
Alex Wyndham’s performance was fantastic. It took me several books to acclimate to his style of narration but now that I have, I enjoy him immensely.

Not great but still good
I enjoy Elizabeth Johns' books....some more than others. Leap of Faith seems a bit weak. The characters don't jump out and make a strong statement. Alex Wyndham is my favorite narrator...hands down. Even his performance couldn't give life to the characters or to the lackluster story. As with all my books, I'll listen again....and possibly change my review.

2 people silently in love until the last 20 minutes.
The writing is ok, but I can’t recommend the book. I knew it was a “clean” read, but I expected more than one kiss in the last chapter. These two were in love, but never knew the other was in love as well. Too much drama around the sisters. The way they were welcome in society was not realistic at all. Feels far from historical. This book was boring. The narration is excellent.
