About this listen

Tired of the main character one-shoting every boss? Every girl inexplicably in love with him on first sight?

Legendary Rule is certainly not an "easy mode" harem.

Ajax Demos finds himself lost in society. Graduating shortly after artificial intelligence is allowed to enter the workforce, he can’t get his career off the ground.

He clings to what he believes a responsible adult should pursue, but it just isn’t in the cards. As his last hope for a steady paycheck disappears new opportunities open.

Ajax gets a chance to play a brand new Immersive Reality game. Things aren't as they seem. Mega Corps hover over what appears to be a simple game.

Two unlikely women hiding their real identities join his party as he tries to get ahead of the competition and set himself on the path of becoming a professional gamer.

Join Ajax and Company as they enter the world of Legendary Rule.

Note: This book contains graphic violence, harem elements, and explicit scenes.

A Frostbitten Review by Kiba Snowpaw

Title: "Legendary Rule #1: The Howl of the Unbound" - A Frostbitten Review by Kiba Snowpaw

Introduction:
Under the eternal twilight of HowlStrom, where the snow whispers secrets of old and the aurora paints stories in the sky, I, Kiba Snowpaw, delve into the realm of "Legendary Rule #1" by Bruce Sentar. As an alpha Ice Wolf with a soul entwined with the magic of ages and a life dedicated to the art of gaming, I find a kinship with Ajax Demos, a man adrift in a world transformed by artificial intelligence, seeking purpose within the immersive reality of a game that promises more than just an escape.

Basic Plot Summary:
"Legendary Rule #1" charts the journey of Ajax Demos, a man caught in the throes of societal displacement, as he ventures into a new Immersive Reality game. Amidst a landscape overshadowed by Mega Corps, Ajax finds solace and ambition in the virtual world. However, his path is fraught with challenges that test not only his gaming prowess but also his understanding of responsibility and leadership. Joined by two enigmatic women concealing their true identities, Ajax embarks on a quest to rise above the competition and etch his name in the annals of professional gaming.

Analysis/Evaluation:
Sentar weaves a tale of virtual conquest and personal discovery that resonates deeply with the spirit of adventure that courses through the veins of HowlStrom. The narrative skillfully balances the allure of the unknown with the grounding realities of life, crafting a world where every victory is earned and every relationship is a complex dance of identities and intentions.

Characters:
Ajax, with his blend of naiveté and determination, mirrors the journey of many a young wolf under my tutelage – learning to harness their innate powers while navigating the complexities of pack dynamics. The female protagonists, veiled in mystery, add layers of intrigue and depth to the tale, challenging Ajax and, by extension, the reader, to look beyond the surface.

Structure:
The structure of "Legendary Rule #1" is akin to the first snowfall of winter – gradual, enveloping, and transformative. Sentar meticulously layers the foundation of the game's world, its mechanics, and the interpersonal dynamics of Ajax's party, building towards a crescendo that promises more than just an easy mode harem but a saga of epic proportions.

Impact:
This narrative strikes a chord akin to the howl of the ice wolf under the northern lights – a call to the wild, to the untamed heart that beats within us all. It speaks to the gamer, the dreamer, and the rebel, challenging us to find our path, to fight for our place in a world that is constantly evolving.

Hook and Thesis:
At its core, "Legendary Rule #1" is a testament to the power of perseverance, of finding one's place in a world that seems to have moved on. It is a narrative that celebrates the unconventional, the underdog, and the unyielding spirit that defines true heroes.

Praise and Critique:
While the journey of Ajax is one of captivating adventure and complex relationships, the narrative occasionally treads into familiar territory with its tropes and character dynamics. However, Sentar's vibrant world-building and the authentic emotional depth he brings to his characters elevate the story beyond its clichés.

Comparison:
Much like the tales of HowlStrom that speak of lone wolves finding their pack, "Legendary Rule #1" finds its place among the pantheon of stories that bridge the realms of fantasy and reality, of individual struggle and collective triumph.

Conclusion:
As the night deepens over HowlStrom and the stars whisper tales of destiny and despair, "Legendary Rule #1" by Bruce Sentar emerges as a beacon of hope and adventure. It is a tale for those who dare to dream, to fight, and to love with the fierceness of the winter storm and the warmth of the spring thaw. In the heart of every gamer, every rebel, every soul seeking their path, the legendary rule beckons – a call to the wild, to the untamed spirit that yearns for a challenge, for a chance to become legendary.

Easy Mode?

So the story overall is enjoyable. feels like it ended mid story, as far as the game difficulty it fits the spells could be more original classic for the genre, and his name spell has been done before. He basically is blind when it comes to his team. So if u call oblivious hard mode than maybe. I will be getting the next book tho

Great book

I liked this book and thought it was a pretty good start to the series. I purchased the next one right away. The narrator did a really good job as well.

Good start to series

I read the full trilogy and it is good from start to finish.

Trilogy format with a good end to the plot line at the end of book 3. Bruce Sentar has written other books set in the future of this world, but they don't really have a connection.

absolutly awesome story and great narration, but would have been better with duel narration instead.

Going to keep going

I really like this author but can tell this is one of his first books. Going to see if the series gets better. This first one was okay but I found myself screaming at how dense the MC is. Especially if it’s going the way I think. Idiots with a primary stat in intelligence bother me.

Good little series

This is straight up LitRPG, with the new release of a VR MMO and our protagonists adventures there. And shenanigans are bleeding out onto the Real World.
