About this listen

There’s a first time for everything....even love.

A shy loner going through the motions

It’s hard for Cuba to pick a point in his life where he felt like he was truly happy. Every good thing that’s happened to him has been deflated in some way by one tragedy or another...he just feels like he’s been sinking. After graduation, he moved to San Francisco to try to lose himself in his career, but nothing seems to click. Until Raphael walked into his life in a cloud of cigarette smoke.

A playboy who’s used to getting his way

A high-powered job, fast cars, trips, cash, and guys… Nothing is out of Raphael’s reach, and if he wants it, he takes it - that’s the way he likes it. He doesn’t have time for relationships, and he definitely doesn’t have room in his life for any kind of commitment, but there’s something special about Cuba’s sad, dark eyes that he can’t seem to forget. He’ll do anything to make Cuba smile.

Raphael has always led a selfish life. After a chance meeting at a house party, he discovers that having a romantic side isn’t a bad thing, and that maybe a fairytale ending is in his future. Shy and inexperienced, Cuba isn’t sure about anything, and his reluctance to accept that he can be happy only makes Raphael more determined to make him shine.

Letting Go is a sensual gay romance featuring first love, healing family relationships, and learning that no matter how many scars you carry, that there is always room for happiness and the ability to float. This m/m romance is best suited for listeners over the age of 18.

When you let go, love makes you stronger.

I was fascinated by Cuba and Raphael from the very first moment. They are two lost souls floating around until they meet each other.
I love how strong Raph is, even if sometimes his strength can be passed of as not caring, he really does care.
And Cuba, despite being unsure and finding his foot in the world, he is actually very strong, too. When he makes up his mind on something, he goes straight for it!
Zachary Liebenstein is a new to me narrator, his voice is something else, and I absolutely loved his interpretation of Raphael!

Perfect for beginners

I am experienced in BL manga and comics and their drama CDs. But I was curious to explore gay fiction by gay man for gay men and I was not disappointed. Is very sweet and kinky at the same time and I would love to see more from this author.

Great!

This is a captivating story that I couldn’t put down. The characters are some of my favorites, they are complex, and interesting. The narrator does a great job of bringing the characters to life. It’s a heartfelt, at times heartbreaking story but full of hope, and love. This is a really enjoyable story.

Well Read Narration

I was gifted an audible version of this story. It's my first time listening & reviewing an audible. I enjoyed the narrator's voice. I liked the way Romeo Alexander brought the characters together. Cuba & Raphael meet at a party. They were just hanging out together enjoying light chit-chat. Raphael's cousin works with Cuba which gives Raphael a chance to see him again. They clicked as friends & eventually lead to something more. This was an easy read, light sex & good character mesh. Story flowed well & well worth the listen.

meltingly sweet

I liked that these guys were more than they presented on the surface. Deeper and their true nature is discovered. Raph and Cuba were a perfectly sweet couple I enjoyed getting to know through the story. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job bringing it to life.

I loved it

I have read this before listening to this.
I have to say it was a different experience.
my only issue is that sometimes i forget that it is cuba or raph who is talking cause the voice are somewhat similar...but this happens rarely in the whole story.
The story itself is wonderful.
However, for my preference, it needs a little bit more drama...more fallout...more turmoil in the relationship of Cuba and Raph. But the story is done now so I hope our author write a story as such, much spicier than sweet chili sauce.

Sweet story

This was a cute story about new beginnings, new friends, forgetting past lives. Cuba, a PR male, is trying to start a new life after dealing with less than perfect home life. Now all grown up he's ready.

The author did a wonderful job letting us walk with Cuba while he found himself.

I wasn't totally in love the Narrator, can't decide what it was exactly. But I couldn't fall into the story like I normally do.

I would have preferred to have read the book.
