About this listen

Many young women have been lied to. Through a nationwide survey and in-depth discussion groups, Nancy and Dannah have listened carefully to the heart of the younger generation, and they felt compelled to write this book. In it, Nancy and Dannah expose the 25 lies young women most commonly believe. They share real-life accounts from some of the young women they interviewed along with honest stories about how they've overcome lies they believed themselves. They get down in the trenches of the battle with listeners. But best of all, they show listeners how to be set free by the truth.

My opinion

In my personal opinion, this is an overall good book. For the audience of: mothers, youth pastors, or any leader or influence on teens. I think this is a good book to read as an adult and share certain areas with your teen or child. I do not think any young teen ages 16 or younger should read it. I mostly overall agree with the book. However there are a few arguments Of course as everyone will have their own opinion. I do not think you need to be part of a church constantly to have a good relationship with God. They expressed many times like it says in the Bible God created man and woman. And it is said in the book that being gay or lesbian or other is singing. However, in today’s society I would say 20 to 30% of society is either gay lesbian or other. And it would be very offensive to them. We are not supposed to judge and I think that section can be taken the wrong way. But overall they’re a very good lessons and advice that I myself will even take. It’s a great book if you are looking to put a troubled teen or a just becoming teen on the righteous path to a Christian life!

Great Book for Teens

This is a good book for teen girls to read. I am always looking for good books for teens for my study group. This book definitely did what it said and that was to awaken you. This book does not shy away from certain topics that my be uncomfortable to discuss with teens but that is one reason why I enjoyed it.

The truth will set you free #free

Nancy and Danny really did their homework on this topic. With brutal honesty they implore young women to seek God and His righteousness. As a preteen group leader, I couldn't help but think of the young girls I mentor. I pray they are willing to trust the truths in "Lies Young Women Believe."

Would Recommend

I do not unreservedly recommend many books, but this book is exceptional. While it is always good to process a book like this with genuine Christians I find no notable fault with this book. The direct and sensitive approach is admirable and refreshing.

Excellent, but would have preferred her reading the pdfs too

Enjoyed this a lot. Would have liked it more if the PDFs were not referred to, but read as well.
