Publisher's summary

Lily Brandt was glad when her father decided to move the family from Duluth to a farm in Iowa. She didn’t want to keep encountering her former fiancé and his new wife. But would Iowa turn out to be any better with her sister’s flirting and the handsome new neighbor’s quiet ways? She hadn’t gotten over Calem’s rejection yet, so she wasn’t ready for a new relationship, and she had her grandmother’s quilt to remind her to be cautious.

New beginnings!

This was such a sweet story! The characters were developed well and the story has a good flow. a light hearted, fun listen. I can possibly see another story coming with Lily's sister as the main character. I love listening to these stories. I love that scripture is interwoven in the lines.

Sweet story

I love the characters and the plot. The sisters had such different personalities getting one into a bit of trouble. Great Christian story.

Christian Historical Romance

This was such a wonderful story!!
I loved their shy neighbor immediately! Despite his great loss, he had a heart of gold and believed God had brought Lily into his life for her to be his wife as soon as he met her!
There are painful lessons the sisters both learn, but a beautiful ending with God's perfect plan!
I loved the narration and was impressed that she used accents for the townspeople to make sure each one's voice sounded different!

A sweet listen

This was such a sweet story. I enjoyed watching Lily and Adrian's relationship grow. it was nice to see her relationship with her family was also good... she wasn't spoiled like her little sister who liked to create drama.

I loved the ending and the significance of her Grandma's quilt that was mentioned throughout the story.

I really enjoy books by Janice Cole Hopkins. The narrative was done well on this.

Second Chances

I really enjoyed this story. The story flows nicely and has interesting characters.
I would have a very hard time forgiving a sibling for what Lily’s sister does though. While they definitely have a rough time getting along for a while, I didn’t get the feeling it was because of her sister’s betrayal.
There is a happy ending and plenty of life lessons along the way.

Sweet Western Romance

Janice Cole Hopkins delivers a well written, entertaining book in Lily. I listened to the audio and LB Neibnaour brought the characters to life.
Lily was a young girl with many bumps in her life. She overcomes a failed relationship, a family move to a new life, and a sister making poor decisions. She almost lost her faith in God and men.
If you love happy endings this book is for you!

Warmth to my heart!

There is something special about Janice Cole Hopkins. Every book makes me feel good, and that is a huge plus for me! This book features sisters, Lily and Hilde. Moving to Iowa pleased Lily, as she was getting away from the hurt of her ex-fiance. Not ready to open her heart to anyone new, she begins her new life. Hilde on the other hand is not happy with the move. She misses her friends, and has difficulty finding a man she feels worthy of her. Now Adrian has moved in next door and taken a liking to Lily, but Hilde is flirting with him. And now Dirk has her eye.Where does it end? These two have bit of a rivalry, at least from Hilde's standpoint. Where does it all end? The story takes a few twists and turns that make it exciting and fresh. The girls and the men are complete opposites, and it creates a world of fun for the listener! I loved how it all turns out.

LB Neibaur gives a wonderful performance for this story, with a cast of characters that is so completely different and each of her voices fits them perfectly. From the shy Adrian to the arrogant Dirk, she has the men down pat. And the women, for Lily she is a little on the quiet side, and Hilde a bit of a brat! Her voices are strategically chosen and made this listen spot on! I enjoyed it!

New Hope, New Love

Two sisters opposite in every way. Hilde is detetimined to have a man; Lily is recovering from the hurt of her fiance deciding to marry someone else and has no interest in starting a relationship with any man. After her father moves the family from Duluth to Iowa of course the sisters are opposite in reaction. Lily is glad to get away from seeing her ex-fiance with his new wife; Hilde doesn't want to leave her home and friends. Their new neighbor, Adrian, enters the scene. Hilde flirts with him, but he has eyes only for Lily. Adrian was quiet and slowly developed a friendship with her. It's a sweet love story with two sides. Hilde who has her own story and Lily who must restore her faith in God and in men. I think this is one of my favorite books from this author.

The narration on this is wonderful. LB Neibaur does such a good job bringing the story and the characters to life.

I received this audiobook from the author and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

Sweet Romance

Listening to this book, Lily, Christmas Quilt Bride, book 10 was a delight. The narrator was wonderful. Lily is heartbroken, after a break up, but when her father says, he wants to move his family to Iowa after an accident. She’s ready for a change. When she meets her new neighbor, Adrian, she wonders, but is not quite ready to start a new relationship. As the two become friends, there is also the spark of something more. Could he be the one, that God intended for her. Could the quilt Adrian gives Lily at Christmas, be the defining moment.
I was given an ARC of this book by the author, for an honest review.
