Publisher's summary

A new day comes with a new way to be woken up.

On a warm summer's morning, a bicycle chime outside Lily's window plunges her into waking consciousness, followed by the scowl of a girl with twintailed hair. As the days grow steadily longer, she struggles to navigate the mountains which conspire to ruin her peaceful days. And yet her hardships only begin when she makes her way across the finishing line.

Perfect

I'm not one for big words, so I'll just say this. The end of this book left me smiling uncontrollably. This is a great way to wrap up Lily's story and I thank Kaye Ng for writing this. It was the perfect end to this little tale of growth and happiness.

Love it

I always look forward to the next Lily Clairet, finished this one in one day. Savannah Gilmore really brings the characters to life, as always. This book is a nice culmination of a lot of growth of characters (especially Lily) that has happened over the past six books. Can't wait for the next one and to see where it goes from here.

More Lily

To be honest if you've made it this far into the series you know you're gonna enjoy this latest installment. Great continuation of character development with a payoff at the end a good number of you already suspected was coming. A wonderful listen.

Insert “Chris Pratt ohh .gif”

As if a certain someone bought out a whole cake shop for you to indulge on, this is a special treat; If you’ve been following this series then this book is the ultimate payoff: This is Lily’s transformation from an awkward potato/slug to a big softie who is treasuring all the important people around her (all while maintaining her Sunday Princess persona) plus all little references from vol 1 though 6.

It’s truly wholesome to see “Little Miss Lily” grow up and take a leap of faith at life while at the same time, being semi-tsundere about her feelings.

Savannah Gilmore, as usual, did an amazing job narrating the book; it’s totally worth it hearing her narrate all of it: Kaneko and Satake being Kaneko and Satake, Natsumi lying her way to become the best winglady, Kizuna’s teasing, Hisakawa’s offering her bountiful charity, hearing all of the nuances of Lily’s inner thoughts, and ultimately, the squabbles, quips, and beguilement between Lily and Sonata.

10 stars. Or 100/100. Gave me a big stupid smile that lasted all day (and then some).

Also, if you haven’t bought the book yet (or kindle version), get it! Seeing Rumikuu’s illustrate key scenes is totally worth it and makes it all special.
