About this listen

Not Quite the Fairy Tale is a series of paranormal romances made for a mature audience. Expect adult language and naughty stuff. Each audiobook is a stand-alone.

The rules are simple: Humans from Enom are allowed to cross the forest, Jereena are killed on sight. Double standard, but as Jereenan had taken their land, not many Wilderlings have questioned it.

Lana, an enforcer sworn to obey the alpha, doesn't like it, but never has she considered saying or doing anything about it until now.

Then things become complicated when the prince of Ennom comes through with a battalion of Jereenan soldiers....

“Are you … smiling?!”
On the plus side, this is frisky and quirky, and zips along. And Shane East narrates- nuff said.

“Note to self: don’t use that cranberry shampoo again. It attracts idiots.”
On the downside, this is an odd mashup of fairytales, random comments making you realize this is set in modern day, and then insta-lust and insta-sex between two people with little backstory.

“Typical villain sh.”
But it’s kinda fun, even if it crammed a book into a novella. Oh, and it’s weirdly written, like when Lana thinks about him “sending out dominating domineering vibes” or Lana calling herself “wolfie-puss” (ick).

Quirky and half baked
