Publisher's summary
Where family bonds are made and broken, and where young love sparks as old flames grow dim, Ransom Canyon is ready to welcome - and shelter - those who need it.
With a career and a relationship in ruins, Jubilee Hamilton is left reeling from a fast fall to the bottom. The run-down Texas farm she's inherited is a far cry from the second chance she hoped for, but it and the abrasive foreman she's forced to hire are all she's got.
Every time Charley Collins has let a woman get close, he's been burned. So Lone Heart ranch and the contrary woman who owns it are merely a means to an end, until Jubilee tempts him to take another risk - to stop resisting the attraction drawing them together despite all his hard-learned logic.
Desperation is all young Thatcher Jones knows. And when he finds himself mixed up in a murder investigation, his only protection is the shelter of a man and woman who - just like him - need someone to trust.

Story
Call Hawkins just wants to be left alone and leave the past where it belongs. The bleak beauty of Dead Horse Creek is a perfect place to get away from the world, a place where nothing exists to remind him of everything he's lost. His isolation is complete - until Charity Sinclair arrives fresh from New York City. Stunningly beautiful and stubbornly independent, she's also shamefully ignorant of the untamed wilderness and the very real dangers she'll face if Call doesn't teach her a thing or two.

Great Book!
Every character unique! I enjoy how strengths are found even in supposedly helpless people. it is good to get glimpses of characters from other books in the series. I always enjoy the Narrator Julia Gibson - an amazing range of voices.

I enjoyed listening to this story about a woman who must start over in an inherited land she knows nothing about. I look forward to listening to more stories from this author and this narrator.

Lone Heart Pass
This is the third book in this series and my favorite one so far. They all have been good. In this book you have some of the previous characters and new ones. The main characters are Jubilee and Charlie. Jubilee lost her job in the big city and her Grandfather died and left his ranch to her. She moves there to run it and hires Charlie as her foreman. The sheriff is working a case in this book also he's been a major character in all three books so far. Lauren his daughter is in this book also. This book is more like a mystery book. Again great characters and a great storyline. A great series. Julia Gibson does a great job narrating this book. If my review is any help will you please click on the helpful link below. Thank you.

Awesome!
The book is awesome. I loved Little T. That kid was my favorite character! Boy had a hard life and yet, he was still good, still funny and he was just trying to survive and in their own way, others looked out for him.

Very entertaining to listen too. A great series.
Very good series to listen to. It was a interesting how the characters overlapped into each story, but the story could also stand alone.

Passion Without Porn
An excellent wordsmith, Jodi Thomas doesn't have to use words that burn the soul to create her powerful stories. She remains one of my favorites. PG13 this latest in the Ransom Canyon Series is fast pace and intriguing. I see a new character emerging to a hero in a future book, Hatcher.
