About this listen

After tightening the Bonds with his friends, Sean worked toward new things and trying to fix past mistakes. He and his growing family had just moved into a new home and hired on new staff for day-to-day matters. All he wanted to do was craft and love his wives, and it seemed like the peaceful life he hoped for might be within his reach.

Denmur and Lord Sharpeyes would not let that happen. Using their connections, they put into motion a chain of events that would reverberate across the city of Hearthglen. Sean was called to attend the Lord’s party - he came, bringing all of his family and friends with him.

Both sides were surprised by events as they unfolded, and it quickly became apparent that conflict would not be denied. With the Einherjar, a Valkyrie, and an old foe, Velin Dykstra, backing them up, Evan Sharpeyes and Klein Denmur challenged Sean to trial by combat.

Exhausted and with depleted energy, Sean still led his wives onto the field of battle. The fight was bloody and taxing, but in the end, Sean struck down Evan Sharpeyes before collapsing. With his eyesight fading, Sean looked at his wives, but only saw a few female-like figures rushing toward him. The last sound he heard was a great many wings converging on him, and his mind drifted to thoughts of Morrigan....

Word of Sean’s victory spread throughout the city, but none could say whether he had survived to enjoy it.

(This work contains adult situations that some might find offensive, the least of which is graphic sex. This book is about an Overpowered MC, and contains a harem. You’ve been warned.)

The emotions that you feel

My family asked why I was tearful as I was driving and they where resting, Had to explain the story and how it grabs you, drags you in and make you experience it. Even though I have listened too the story several times it still has the same affects. Highly recommend this series and can’t wait for the next book to come on audiobooks.

Lost Bonds

Introduction:
Greetings, fellow beings of HowlStrom. I am Kiba Snowpaw, an alpha male Ice Wolf with over 36 years of experience in the art of ice magic. As the winter season engulfs our world once again, I find solace in the tales of other realms. Today, I shall share my thoughts on an audiobook that has captured my attention: "Lost Bonds" from the Binding Words series.

Basic Plot Summary:
The tale revolves around Sean, a man who desires a peaceful life, crafting and cherishing moments with his wives. However, the tranquility he seeks is disrupted by Denmur and Lord Sharpeyes, who set in motion a series of events that shake the very foundations of Hearthglen. As tensions rise, Sean is challenged to a trial by combat, leading to a climactic battle that determines his fate and the future of the city.

Analysis/Evaluation:
The story masterfully intertwines elements of fantasy, romance, and slice-of-life, creating a rich tapestry of emotions and events. The narrative is both gripping and evocative, with moments that tug at the heartstrings and others that set the pulse racing.

Characters:
Sean stands out as a multi-dimensional protagonist, showcasing strength, vulnerability, and unwavering determination. His relationships, especially with his wives, add depth to his character, making him relatable and endearing. The antagonists, Denmur and Lord Sharpeyes, are well-crafted, serving as worthy adversaries to Sean's resolve.

Structure:
The pacing of the story is well-balanced, with moments of introspection seamlessly blending with action-packed sequences. The author's choice to incorporate elements of RPG adds a unique flavor to the narrative, appealing to gamers like myself.

Impact:
"Lost Bonds" serves as a poignant reminder of the bonds we forge and the lengths we go to protect them. It resonates with the age-old battle between good and evil, emphasizing the importance of standing up for one's beliefs.

Hook and Thesis:
The tale begins with a sense of foreboding, setting the stage for the challenges Sean would face. The underlying theme revolves around the strength of bonds and the sacrifices one makes to preserve them.

Praise and Critique:
The audiobook shines in its character development and world-building. The narration by Andrea Parsneau adds depth to the characters, making the story come alive. However, some might find certain adult themes a tad overwhelming. It would have been beneficial to have a clearer distinction between these elements and the core narrative.

Comparison:
While "Lost Bonds" is reminiscent of classic fantasy tales, it carves its niche with its unique blend of genres and character-driven narrative. It stands tall among its contemporaries, offering a fresh perspective on familiar themes.

Conclusion:
In the icy realms of HowlStrom, tales of bravery and sacrifice are cherished. "Lost Bonds" is one such tale that will be remembered for its compelling narrative and memorable characters. It serves as a testament to the strength of bonds and the indomitable spirit of its protagonist. As Kiba Snowpaw, I wholeheartedly recommend this audiobook to all who seek a tale of love, sacrifice, and triumph.

May the frosty winds of HowlStrom guide you to your next adventure.

Hits you in the “feels!”

Schinhofen does it again with another great addition to this incredible story! And Parsneau continues to show how skilled she is with her performances. The combination of these two, especially with the beginning of this book, brings the characters and their feelings to life. They do it so well that the emotion is almost palpable…

However, life must go on. We get some more answers to our ongoing mysteries. Plus a new addition to the family. The pressure grows around the family and their allies. New wonders, Sean’s doing of course, will continue to bring more attention. However, Sean doesn’t care anymore. Bring them on!

Best VA in the Biz hands down.

Things have heated up in the Cold War between the two sides but with it brings many questions.. I’m a little over halfway through this one and wish I had some answers to questions by now.. first, why do the wives NEVER ask about the world he came from? Being FAR more advanced in just about every aspect I find it strange that the topic is never discussed.. I would sure wanna know all about the completely different world my wife came from if this happened to me.. next, they have had the justice system on their side for awhile now and fought hard to keep it in place. Why have they not moved against lord sharp eyes.. why do they just continue to sot back and watch as more and more and more go through hell? It’s been a terribly stupid move. Especially now the guard has been replaced with the enemy… what are they waiting on? Now when one of them is attacked or killed if they do ANYTHING at all they’ll be the ones in trouble.. the book has been good but just as always so far Sean and his constant holier than though attitude mixed with his constant bitching keep it at 4 stars.. Andrea as normal is a master of her craft
