About this listen

A mission of peace hides a terrible secret.

Two decades of bitter war between Earth and her furthest colonies is finally at an end. Captain Lee Saito's massive new starship is sent to seal the uneasy truce.

But a series of terrorist attacks on Earth and the mysterious acts of a strange cult threaten to derail the fragile peace.

When the mission goes awry, Saito must try to salvage what he can in deep space while his estranged son must navigate a conspiracy back on Earth that could implicate the highest levels of government.

But conspiracies go both ways and no one is as innocent as they might seem.

As it all spirals out of control, the future of humanity hangs in the balance.

Good book! However

The way we understand guns now..:. Absolutely no way there would be a “clip” for a future gun…. That’s an exciting word anti gun people say… the correct pronunciation is a “MAGAZINE” please use proper nomenclature and descriptions for items related to guns… BY THE WAY!! everyone should own a gun. Vote Trump if you don’t want to live like the lower class in this book. Cheers!

Starts off slow but your committed to the story by the end

Overall good story and interesting premise. The story really picks up toward the end leaving you wanting to read the second book.

Another Sci-Fi horror

By the numbers "Sci-Fi" that doesn't do anything special. If you enjoy the SCIENCE side of Science Fiction then it's best you steer clear.

Bait books

despite being written in the 2000s this book comes across as if it was written by someone in the 1950s. because of the nebulous nature of the "bad guys" they're just not compelling and are frankly downright confusing at times. the latter point seeming at times like it's due to two writers not communicating effectively
then this less than 5-hour book drops you off at a huge cliffhanger that encouraging you to continue the series which eventually wants you to Shell out an entire credit for another four and a half hour piece.

nope

terrible sci-fi, confusing premise, and felt like the author had almost no idea of how a government or military works. If there was supposed to be a different structure, then that should have been explained, but it wasn't during any of the mind numbing exposition fests the author did. So much info with nothing important being said.
