About this listen

A few months ago, Effie Abbott was left heartbroken; now she has everything she ever wanted. After a whirlwind romance and a dream wedding, she's starting a new life with a new man. Oliver is caring, sophisticated and trustworthy - everything Smith, her reckless ex, wasn't.

Things were never simple between Smith and Effie, so when he forces his way back into her life, Effie knows he's a complication she doesn't want or need. After all, she has Oliver, a man who loves her better than Smith ever did.

But when cracks in her marriage start to show and Oliver shows flashes of a darker side, Effie has to question just how well she really knows her husband, and whether Smith is back to derail her seemingly perfect marriage or save her from it.

Love You Better is a poignant, bittersweet novel which questions how well we really know the ones we love most.

I really liked the narrator. She did a very good job. The storyline was good. I couldn't help but wonder about the little details... Like how did Effie (and Smith)
have money to be traipsing all over Europe and India? Or how she could afford to stay put of work for so long? Hmmm....

Good story. Had me interested from the get-go...
