classic Ann Rule!

Early, classic Ann Rule! I had the privilege of meeting her once years ago at a signing my then boyfriend was running security for in the Everett or Lynnwood, WA Mall. She was gracious and signed a book I had bought & brought for my baby sister. i have yet to find another author who writes as she did.
Great reader as well!

In depth story of a serial killer

This book was captivating, yet scary to realize that serial killers are so hard to find and that many get out of prison after serving only a short time. The narration was excellent and the story was well written with in depth character development. I highly recommend this book if you are a fan of real life crime stories. I have read almost all of Ann Rules books with this being the first audio version. I plan to listen to more of her audio books.!

The lust killer did not care about his victims

It seems the mother had a lot to do with how he treated women. his mother did not love him and favored her first born.

Good listen

Not one of my favourites from her but it was definitely worth buying. I love how detailed she is.

Ann Rule for the win

This book felt so short because it was read flawlessly and Ann Rule was always great.
When I reached the epilogue, I was disappointed. Not that I still had questions, but it is one of those cases that is so interesting, and the killer so bizarre, you kind of expect more. I wanted more because I want to know what made him tick and that will probably never be answered.

Excellent True Crime

Ann Rule is one of my favorite authors when it comes to true crime. She delivers stories and backgrounds of some of the most horrible crimes and gives the victim and families a chance to heal by writing about their loved one’s story. Awesome read.

Poor narrating

Good book. Ann Rule is such an excellent author. However, the woman narrating the story should learn how to pronounce all the words she is reading. Evidence, proof, macabre are just a few that stuck out. Not hard words. Mispronunciation is an assault on the ears.

Just ok for Ann Rule

I am a huge Ann Rule fan, and I found this book to be just ok for her. Compare to true crime books generally it is good. It is heavier on the gory scenes and lighter on the investigative detail and personality analysis that makes most of her writing so great.

good true crime

Interesting all the way through. I like true crime that gives details and insight without a focus on the gore. I want the facts but I don't want it to glamorize the sick killers. Ann Rule does a great job telling us a story with the facts in it but more focused on the why and to whom.
I really liked the Narrator of this book as well. Clear and read well.
