About this listen

Halfhuman Cal Leandros and his brother, Niko, aren't exactly prospering with their preternatural detective agency. Who could have guessed that business could dry up in New York City, where vampires, trolls, and other creepy crawlies are all over the place? But now there's a new arrival in the Big Apple. A malevolent evil with ancient powers is picking off humans like sheep, deadset on making history with an orgy of blood and murder. And for Cal and Niko, this is one paycheck they're going to have to earn.

Series keeps getting better!

I was leary with book one, but each book is better than the last. The narrator is perfect!

Amazing Series!

Any additional comments?

Mr. Thurman is incredibly creative and Mr. Andrews is incredibly amazing in his narration. I'm in awe of how he can easily switch his voice from one character to another so smoothly and quickly. I feel as though I'm listening to an actual TV series that's so much better than Supernatural. And Niko and Cal are a more believable duo as brothers than Sam and Dean.

I'm impressed with the rainbow coalition of the character races, as well as the diversity of horrific monsters Mr. Thurman has created. The world of his imagination is so refreshing and I'm so excited about this series!!!

---------------
Mr. Elkhart sums up this story perfectly for me by commenting, "Madhouse has everything we've come to expect from Rob Thurman, just more of it. More exotic, fresh monsters, more drama, more humor, more snark, more werewolves, more violence, and much more puck. Horror and humor exist side by side with seemingly little effort. Five stars isn't enough."

I have no idea how this series isn't more popular but I have book 2-9 and with every dangerous adventurous journey I go on with the Leandro's brothers, I fall more and more in love with them and I have to admit Robin is so the love of my fictional life! I have fictionally become the man to be his personal body guard and basically just to pursue him in my daydreams! LOL. I'm ridiculously in love with 💖 Robin 💖 and his nonstop sexual, hilarious, crazy antics. More Robin with Cal and Niko please and I hope he has more fight scenes too!

And what's up with him and Ishia <----- I think that's how you spell his name. They need to hook up already! Oh, happy vision. 😍.

Another must have

This is the third book in the series and I'm on my second time through the entire series and it's just as good as it was the first time. I don't often reread an entire series, so when I say that I'm rereading this one it means something. READ THIS BOOK!!!, you won't be sorry. I loved it, it was possibly better the second time around.

Awesome Audiobook!

This was just a great story in the series. The characters are great, both human and supernatural, and a lot of fun.

The narration is superb as always from MacLeod Andrews.

Don't miss out on this one!

Disappointed experience

Books in this Cal Leandros series, when finished, probably can't give listener a kick of satisfaction, or enjoyment, although narrator has done his job well.
So, it's only good for mindless, time-killing listening, as long as you don't have high expectations to learn anything from the storyline, hours went by, and you probably don't remember what plotlines the characters went through to get where they are. ( a unique achievement !! )
For me, I can not but feeling I should have spend my time on works by different authors.
