About this listen

Fed up with the constant arguing and feeling like you can' get ahead of your three-year-old's constantly changing wants, needs, and opinions?

Would you love to have a pause button when your little one is throwing a tantrum at the supermarket?

Do you find yourself losing your temper when your kids misbehave and no matter how many times you remind them, they just keep doing the things you want them to stop doing?

The audiobook comes with more than 20 personal examples on how to handle daily life situations with small children. While listening, you will find ways to:
  • bring new habits into your life that can help children to better understand the rules,
  • feel less irritable, more relaxed, and be more creative in your reactions,
  • save your evenings and enjoy adult time without interruption,
  • teach small children to be more self-sufficient (and responsible!) so that they get ready faster, contribute to household chores, and play independently,
  • stop feelings of guilt and doubt when you must discipline,
  • laugh more with your kids and connect deeper.

With children it's difficult to always be on top, especially if the nights are short and you are trying to juggle it all. Having quick and practical tips to stay creative, try something new, and constantly remind yourself of some guidelines on the path towards mindfulness, happiness, and conscious living can only be a good thing.

Get ready for radical family life changes and be prepared for more playful times!

Really enjoyable, with actionable advice!

Would you consider the audio edition of Master the Daily Battles of Parenting Toddlers to be better than the print version?

I wouldn't necessarily say so, but I did get the audio version first, then the print version, so I can refer more easily to the print version.

What other book might you compare Master the Daily Battles of Parenting Toddlers to and why?

None come to mind, as most parenting books seem to blur together with similar ideas.

What does Joni Abbott bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Simple emotion. The emotion associated with dealing with a toddler can be striking if you don't know it, but she nails it.

What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?

How hostile some of our messages are to our children, and how simple re-phrasing can make life so much easier for both parties.

Any additional comments?

Loved it and highly recommend it.

Motivational and matter of fact audio!

Match your actions towards your children to your feelings about them. Something we all know too well but she is delightful at reminding us. To love and guide our kids with empathy and understanding.

quick with good advice

I picked this up as I am soon approaching the "parenting a toddler" years hoping to learn a few things. I knew most of the advice this book has to offer, but even with that being the case it is still rather useful. Those parts I didn't know are worthwhile. So even if you think you know what you are doing, getting advice is never a bad idea.

the author suggests that if there are any sections you know already to just skip over them. This is a little harder in audiobook format. But at 1 hour long, its not like being unable to skip them is going to cost you much.

the book is short, but covers everything it needs to without fluffing around. Clear and concise it is a great resource.

Narration b y Joni Abbott is also clear and easy to follow. Well paced.

Good pointers for new parents!

Had just started struggling with some tantrums for my toddler, and this book gave many good pointers on how to resolve issues. Very short and applicable lessons. A good reminder to not get so frustrated over little things, and how to react to your child's issues. Have actually seen great improvement in my toddler very quickly with small suggestions and changes! Looking forward to downloading the visual charts as well.

Great info!

I thought this book was going to be longer but it was short and sweet. There is a bunch of great info in here in regards to parenting toddlers. At very least it inspired me to stop what I was doing and show love to my children. Wouldn't hurt to listen !

Simple little tricks make a big difference

Just simply understanding small things about why my kids act the way they do really helps me react differently instead of getting frustrated with them. The book is right, the tender toddler years are very important to a child's development and go by so quickly.
