Publisher's summary

Masterpieces, written by Lamees Alhassar, is a display of the most boundary-pushing, genre-blurring, creative sophistication. By sending us to alternate universes and engaging with a wide spectrum of emotions, from tenderness to fear, each of these stories challenge the way we see our place in the cosmos. Each story dazzles with ambition, striking style, and the promise of imagining the unimaginable.

Unfortunate choice of narrator

After the second story I had to look up the other work of the narrator, unsurprisingly the first thing I saw were a couple of books about “how to be a cool guy and get your ex girlfriend back.” Truly unfortunate the narrator has only his true voice which is much too singular. So many elements lacking that it really takes away from some pretty solid short stories.
