Loved the mature, kind spirited lessons the heroine processes.

This story has some great and unexpected turns. It’s a refreshing book that can have someone grow and mature in a kind and healthy manner. I love love love characters that develop and grow and through lifetimes in time travel that’s just what she does. As does her Prince. Highly recommend.

Could not get past the narrator's voice.

The story started out great but I could not get past the narrator's voice. A narrator's voice is subjective, so I'm sure some will enjoy and some will not. That's what the sample is there for, right?
Unfortunately I won't get to finish this story. I don't have time to sit and read so Audible is my absolute go to.

An unlikely match. Can she outsmart a fae prince?

I loved both of the stories which follow Robin Goodfellow, a fae prince and 42 year old down on her luck human, Joey Whitmore.

Book One, Over the Faery Hill
After being fired from another job and the car breaking down Robin offers Joey the chance to alter her life for the better.
Striking a bargain with a fae prince Joey tries to alter a significant moment in her past that she thinks wrecked her life.
Knowing that once done, she will be called upon by the fae prince to fulfil her end of the bargain.
This leads to much disaster and not what she envisioned.

Book Two, The Fae Side of Forty
This story picks up with Robin proposing marriage and Joey realising that all is not well and that he is hiding secrets.
Once known Joey is left reeling with the consequences and in terrible danger from The Fae Queen.
Her feelings for Robin are intense and confusing when Robin begins to fit in perfectly with her family.

Throughout these books there is danger, many mishaps, distrust between the two, leading to respect, a talking cat, a familiar pet, tricks, bargains, an evil Fae Queen, fun, attraction and love.
I enjoyed Robin and Joey’s banter and especially liked all the characters that were brought into both stories.
These characters added to the books and made them interesting and fun at times.
I was lucky enough to listen to the audiobook and enjoyed the many voices of the narrator.
