Eve and Roarke

Eve is not going to let one madman ruin her Christmas so she and Roarke pool their resources in this short to put him back into the loony bin. Fast pace with a punch.

Short, sweet, and succinct.

As the review title suggests...short, sweet, and succinct. The required 15 words is superfluous.

Midnight in Death

This was short but nevertheless another good addition to the In Death series. #FeelGood

As usual, Susan Erickson’s performance is on point.

One year ends as another begins

This book comes quickly time wise from the last, and completes Dallas and Roake's holiday season. McNab and Peabody continue to bicker and I find humor in their dance. Good story as always.

Always good whether listening or reading.

Excellent story as Dallas, Roarke and team track down an escaped prisoner convicted of the torture murder of eight (?) people three years previously. Excellent narration by Susan Ericksen had me appreciating the difference between reading and listening to a book. Great read both ways as JD Robb provides taut, intelligent investigation of crime and adds dark humor, suspense and compassion.

Short and sweet!

Before you start this story, read Ceremony in Death first. (You don’t have to but it’s worth it.) This novella just tops it off! Everything left unfinished with what would be a very long epilogue was completed and a new year will begin in the next book with more of Eve and Roarke and their cast of characters. Enjoy!

Short but Great

This one was really short, but still had a great plot and scenes with the minor characters, especially Mira. I also love Roarke when he gets all protective, even though Eve is more than capable of handling herself! Somerset trying to be civil was also a part that made me chuckle.

Another great listen!
