Publisher's summary

What would you do to save a loved one's life? Make a pact with the devil?

In Diana Kingston's defense, it was the middle of the night in the deserted hospital chapel. Surely it was just a dream. She hadn't really sold herself to a brooding stranger to save her father's life, right?

Then she wakes, and her father is fully recovered, and a mysterious letter arrives from the tall, dark, handsome - um, devil? Yep, it was right there on the contract, Lucien Star, aka Lucifer Morningstar, that had been his name in the dream.... Gulp. What would the devil himself want with her?

Sex. Three months of hot, sweaty, Friday-night sex. Ooookay. Breaking a pact with the devil doesn't seem like a smart move. So she'll do it - but she won't like it. Not much anyway.

But she starts liking it - a lot - and every night they spend together, she likes it and Lucien a little more. Being with him allows her naughty side to come out and play, but Diana starts to see more than just a sexy-as-sin, rock-hard...er...

Anyway, he might be Satan, but even he was an angel once. Kind. Noble. And she sees glimpses of that man still inside him... But how in heaven's name do you save the devil from himself?

Contains mature themes.

Well damn that made me cry

What a nice story. I typically prefer dual narration but Jeremy York did a very nice job. As always. Decent amount of spice. Hits all the feels like a good love story should. With a little extra plot twist thrown in for the hell of it.

WICKEDLY WONDERFUL & FULL OF LIGHTHEARTED FEELS

Bravo and well done Emma.. for such a wonderful debut novel - you’ve absolutely surpassed my expectations and delivered a captivating story that lured me in from its synopsis and audio sample.. and let me tell you I was seriously impressed. Your handsome charismatic Devil was deliciously bad and intriguing as he tempted.. and teased.. and bargained with Diana whose pure soul was enticing him out of his funk. You created good girl Diana to be a shining light in his dark world.. and she was that.. and so so much more and, as I listened and visualized various scenarios to give them a happily ever after, my mental musings paled in comparison to the beautiful perfect scenes you wrote. You only briefly flirted with descriptions of Heaven and Hell - and you had just the right balance of sex as Diana’s three month contract of Friday nights belonging to Lucien (aka Lucifer) commenced. You created a loveable alpha possessive Devil who slowly.. well shhh you know what.. and, rather than dark, this sweet and very entertaining love story, with all its whimsical fantasies and humor, was actually really light. So, once again Emma, bravo.. you gave me quite a different and compelling story about love conquering all.. and it was a shining beacon to watch out for your next book.

Worth a credit? Diana and Lucien’s journey was dual POVs, it was mysterious, romantic, sexy, sweet, refreshingly different and wonderfully romantic with a splash of heartache.. and Jeremy York’s narration brought the characters, the scenes and the story to life.. definitely making it a creditworthy audiobook.

Great storyline! Excellent narrator!

Great storyline, excellent narrator! I've always pondered God's love for his fallen son. The ties to Milton's works are a great touch.

The Devil "I wish" I knew.

Familiar plot. But always one of my favorite. I truly enjoyed this book as it appeals to all of my " not so secret " girlie needs.

Excellent read and captivating story

From start to finish I loved this book. The plot was stable, it moved at a steady pace, details were plentiful while not overly present, and the characters experienced change as they're supposed to.
Great story!

Wow 🤩

Perfect narrator for this dark romance. Intimate scenes were very steamy and easy to imagine. Will listen to it again just because it was so good.
