Publisher's summary

Buckle up, folks. It’s time to jump in, embrace your inner self, and release the things that are holding you back from wholeness. Enter the Millenneagram.

The Enneagram is an ancient personality typing system that has a sneaky way of revealing who we are and why we do the things we do. Using nine types, it gets to the root of our fears and motivations, unveiling our innermost selves.

Millenneagram reinvigorates the Enneagram by putting a modern spin on the classic nine types. Hannah Paasch, creator of the popular #millenneagream threads on Twitter, reveals how this system acts as a map toward our authentic selves. For Hannah, the Enneagram is not about changing who we are, but rather nurturing and loving our whole selves, even the pain-in-the-ass qualities. “Only from this position of wholeness, rootedness in who we are, what we believe, and what kind of story we are writing, will we be able to act bravely for the sake of justice and humanity - to approach our f--ked-up world with the grounded courage it asks of us.”

With her trademark irreverent humor and empowering affirmations, Millenneagram reframes the classic Enneagram types with a fresh perspective and new names that cut right to the chase:

  1. The machine: “I’m an Enneagram 1 and I Can Fix This!”
  2. The parent: “I’m an Enneagram 2 and Can I Get You a Refill?”
  3. The winner: “I’m an Enneagram 3 and All I Do Is Win.”
  4. The tortured artist: “I’m an Enneagram 4 and I’m Deeper Than You.”
  5. The detective: “I’m an Enneagram 5 and I Read an Article About That.”
  6. The oracle: “I’m an Enneagram 6 and I’m Loyal as F--k.”
  7. The party: “I’m an Enneagram 7 so This Might Be Vodka in My Mug.”
  8. The dragon: “I’m an Enneagram 8 so Nice Try, Bitch.”
  9. The wallflower: “I’m an Enneagram 9 so Let’s Just All Chill Out, Dude.”

A powerful tool for self-discovery (that doesn’t take itself too seriously), Millenneagram is an invitation for introspection and growth. Hannah’s revamped Enneagram goes beyond simply identifying with a type: It gives us permission to be our truest, enough-as-is, badass selves.

Honestly the best intro to the enneagram

After listening to so many other enneagram
books that left me confused at the end
This is the only one and I mean the only one
that finally did it for me, Thanks Hannah
I finally get it-----------------let the journey begins

Refreshing take on the Enneagram!

I think this is my new favorite Enneagram guide. It's a modern and pragmatic take on the Enneagram and the author has done a wonderful job at making this accessible and entertaining. If you like snarky humor, definitely go follow Hannah on IG!!! It's also great to hear from a queer ex-vangelical about something the modern evangelical church has really tried to hijack!

I was skeptical at first when I saw the Hannah isn't the narrator of her book, but oh my goodness narrator Lori Prince delivers one of my favorite performances ever. She absolutely nails the tone of the book. Well done indeed!

If you're an Enneagram nerd, or just heard about it for the first time, thus book is excellent. I highly recommend it. - Jeff. 9w8. 😊

Fantastic insight and love from the author

I’m an Enneagram 8w7 and have achieved 3 separate certifications in Enneagram coaching. This book is definitely one of my favorites and would be great for all types to hear! Thank you my Enneagram 4 friend!

Informative but a tad Cringy

I really enjoyed it and I like how a lot of the enneagram stuff was simplified but there’s a lot of cringy buzz words that made it difficult to take it seriously. If you’re into the enneagram it’s fine but it’s a great book for beginners to get a good idea of the enneagram.

Fluff woven with cussing mess

Perhaps this book is good in print but to hear this was cringe worthy at best. I'm not one to shy away from cuss words but perfectly fine sentences were needlessly punctuated with "fuck" and "shit" so much I lost what the message even was. The mix in of tired phrases like "boo" and "be extra" just made this book everything I feared when I originally read "millennial."
I appreciated the digestible approach and this fresh take but, oh my god, I didn't enjoy this at all.

Don’t bother if you’re a millennial who reads and speaks normally

Half of each sentence is decent content on the enneagram and the other half an awkward and frankly, insulting attempt at reaching the millennial audience.

Doesn't Understand the Enneagram

This book does not demonstrate a clear understanding of the enneagram. There are a multitude of errors, misunderstandings, misinterpretations, and inaccurate generalizations of the enneagram throughout the book. I'm all for making the enneagram more accessible, but this book simplifies it so much that it drastically misses the entire point of the enneagram and ends up providing strangely inaccurate information.
