Publisher's summary

The Monster Girl Defense Force is really good at their job. They've carved out a small niche in an otherwise desolate and harsh world, and for the moment, all seems well.

But trouble is on the horizon, and to stop it, they'll need something they haven't had in a long time.

A man.

Pretty decent story. Read well by Ms Leblang as usual

I wish I was more into the “sword fighting/armor type story .. but I’m not. Having said that, if there is any author I trust to help me enjoy the setting, it would be Mr Archer. I will say so far not nearly as good as the Monster Trucker or Monster Girl farm but still overall well done. I would recommend it to others as I am a huge fan of Mr Archer as well as Ms Leblangs narration. Good job !

Great story!

Though I have to admit some of the H scenes were a hit and miss. The story overall was enjoyable. Time to read 2 and 3

Alot better then I thought.

I downloaded this book assuming it would be bad.
I was surprised when I actually liked the story.
Enough I'll download the next.
Only negative parts are the XXX scenes progressively get more and more cringy do to bad writing. But excluding that. the story is great, happy ending with enough questions left hanging to want more.

The end is less than the best.

Thought the ending is less then the best the book itself is a well made masterpiece. The last hour is a bit off.

Fun little story

I will say I did enjoy this book overall. I did become invested in the characters. Everything flowed smoothly except 1 thing. It's the year 2099 and only a short time since the fall of modern civilization due to the zombie apoc, but all modern convienances are gone. People live in castles with no electricity and fight with swords and spears. Guns would still be a great way to kill the zombies. A head shot is a head shot, be it by sword or gun. There wasn't a good explanation for that, but otherwise it's a fun story and I have purchased the 2nd in the series and listening to iut now. :)

Elegant Love Story From a Single’s Perspective

This book gave me warm feelings for a romance once more. I love a romantic tale, and the power of a vampire queen represents the masculine femininity without requiring a masculine male appearance. The queen did not simply sweep him off his feet, like a Knight in Shining Armor trope curtail (wait that’s wrong, the name of trope is probably something else). The Vampire Queen and the rest of the series was a fresh reversal of the horrors of living near monsters. They are people with Terrible legacies written about them, but a village of accepting people shines light upon a more accepting culture. The lives of children born in that society do not run scared, but run and play with. Almost like a Utopian society in a wasteland zombie apocalypse! All side character work described a light harem with far less sexual content compared with Simon Archer’s other work. This book felt like an exercise in his attempt to improve beyond previous iterations of romance subtleties. Yet, it was elegantly written for a narrator, and less the reader. I want to learn to write like that.
So, I have been taking notes in a journal of Simon Archer and other authors.
The MC’s power wasn’t over the top, and his use of it had me thinking of Luke Skywalker in the Last Jedi, the struggle of achieving the use of said power and its selfless use. Few books have brought tears to my eyes, and Simon Archer had succeeded.

The only critique I have is for the title, it feels like click bait, even if the title mostly represents the harem the MC suddenly has, but the MC wasn’t sadistic, which was a wonderful refresher.

After owning and listening to over 20 Simon Archer books, I am beginning to see a multiverse where all his characters exist in one place.

Mr. Archer, your fans would love to see more crossovers, like brining Dantum from I’m The Bad Guy over to war with your other super hero stories.
What If Dantum joined Forger of Worlds as the next villain, but he has become an A.I., capable of multiple harassments before his final destruction!

I want to read about a Simon Archer Multiverse amongst all his written works. Maybe a team up with other authors to share characters.
